The Celtics crowd gave Isaiah Thomas his deserved ovation Wednesday night, even though he won't get his video tribute until next month. They would also get the last laugh, as the C's cruised to a 102-88 win over their Eastern Conference rivals behind a game high 20 points from Terry Rozier.

Isaiah Thomas made his return to the NBA floor last night. He was a key cog in the Cleveland Cavaliers getting back on track after three straight losses. Thomas scored 16 points in 19 minutes against the Portland Trail Blazers. He commented about his potential upcoming return to Boston, but will not play in tonight's much-anticipated matchup. The Celtics will also hold off on any tribute video, though it is unclear as to when, as the Feb. 11 game belongs to Paul Pierce's jersey retirement. Jackie MacMullan published a feature story to ESPN about Kyrie Irving's life and decision to push for a trade from the Cavaliers.
