With the return of Isaiah Thomas after a two-game absence, the Boston Celtics beat back the Washington Wizards at TD Garden. The Celtics dominated the glass at both ends and pushed to two-and-a-half games in front of the Wizards for second place in the Eastern Conference.
Isaiah Thomas is back in the lineup after an ugly weekend of Celtics basketball without their leading scorer. Thomas and the Cs will attempt to hold off the Washington Wizards, who sit 2.5 games behind them in third place in the Eastern Conference.

Crowder secured season-highs in scoring and rebounding, with 24 points and 12 rebounds on the night.
The Celtics will be without Isaiah Thomas for their mini two-game road trip this weekend in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Thomas banged his knee Wednesday night. Guerschon Yabusele signed a deal with Boston D-League affiliate Maine Red Claws.
