The Celtics pulled off a narrow victory over the Toronto Raptors, and it was in big part to Payton Pritchard, who scored 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep. With Jayson Tatum resting with wrist soreness, the Celtics were already shorthanded when Marcus Smart and Robert Williams left the game at halftime. With injuries adding up, Joe Mazzulla leaned on his bench sparkplug, and Pritchard delivered some clutch threes late in the 4th quarter to push the Celtics past the Raptors, 106-104.

In Boston's second game of their miniseries in Charlotte, the Celtics beat the Hornets behind Jayson Tatum's superstar efforts. Tatum was in his bag and looked even more comfortable as the game wore on, dropping 15 points on 15-of-23 shooting, 7-of-12 from three and 14-of-14 from the line in an MVP-calibur performance. The Celtics will now have two days off before they take on the Golden State Warriors on Thursday at TD Garden.

Boston pulled off a 122-106 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night, as the the Celtics kick off a two game miniseries on the road against the Hornets. During the first quarter, Derrick White had a collision with Marcus Smart, which forced White from the game with a strained neck. Already down Jaylen Brown, the Celtics needed to turn to their bench again, and looked at veteran Malcolm Brogdon for help.

Brogdon was massive in the Celtics win, and joined Jayson Tatum as the team's only other 30 point scorer, dropping 30 points on an efficient 11-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-6 from deep.
