The Boston Celtics struggled to find any offensive consistency in loss to Detroit Pistons. 

Horford missed the game against the Miami Heat on Monday to be with his wife for the birth of his second child.

Despite missing Al Horford, who was with his family during the birth of his second child, the Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in Florida Monday. Jae Crowder played more then 30 minutes for the first time since returning from injury. Marcus Smart was issued a flagrant one and a technical foul against the Heat.

Boston improved to 10-7 with a win in Miami. Isaiah Thomas finished with 25 points and eight assists and the Celtics shot 40.7 percent from beyond the arc. Boston held Miami to just 12 points in the second half, building a 17-point halftime lead.

Al Horford is with his family following the birth of his second child, and will miss Monday's matchup with the Miami Heat. Otherwise, Jae Crowder and the rest of the Boston Celtics look fully healthy. On the other hand, Miami will be without Dion Waiters, Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson, while Hassan Whiteside and Goran Tragic will be game-time decisions.

November 28th, 2016: Boston Celtics need to take care of business down at the American Airlines Arena.  Yet the Miami Heat have been playing teams tough despite their record.  How much of a problem does Hassan Whiteside pose down low for the Celts?

The San Antonio Spurs starting unit combined for just 53 of the team’s 109 points, but it was enough to get past the Boston Celtics on Black Friday, beating the Celtics by a score of 109-103 at the TD Garden.

The Celtics smaller size as a team proved to be a crucial element to the game, as San Antonio outrebounded Boston 45-36, including 13 offensive rebounds, one of which came at the end of the game to seal the Spurs victory.

With the Celtics down four points with 40 seconds remaining, the team was able to force a contested three-pointer from Manu Ginobili. Ginobili was able to draw iron, and with LaMarcus Aldridge on the weak side, he was able to body up with the much smaller Avery Bradley and grab the game-sealing rebound, the fifth offensive rebound for San Antonio in the fourth quarter.
