Center Church has a common cause because we have a common savior. This week Rich preaches on the first of seven reasons for unity within our church.

Our culture is more divided than ever. There is a palpable sense of division out there and if we aren't careful it, can sneak into our church. Unity is an underappreciated and widely misunderstood virtue. We have an opportunity to be different than the culture around us. Scripture calls us to make EVERY effort to stay unified in Christ.

God is trustworthy - He always keeps His promises!

Christians believe that one day God himself will make everything right - and not just right, He will make everything NEW.

What differentiates a Christian worldview from every other worldview? God in love sent his beloved son as a savior on a rescue mission to this broken world. Instead of throwing away what was broken - God sent a way from himself: his beloved son to save and restore the broken world.

There is a reason for all the bad things in the world. Sin has ruined the world and everything in it. But there is hope!

The world belongs to God - we just live in it. To understand our purpose and identity in this world, we must start with God. If He has put us here in these times for His glory, then we don't have to be angry or afraid.

James is addressing the average Christian - you and I - and he gives each of us assurance that our faithful prayers are powerful. Faithful prayer needs to be our response to all of life.

James gives us direction for trials again in chapter 5. When we are suffering, be patient and be encouraged by looking to JESUS.

Pondering the judgement of God is a blessing in disguise, for it points us to the way of righteousness!
