It is no coincidence that we are studying 2 Peter 3, which addresses the imminent return of Jesus and the presence of scoffers. We will explore Satan’s cunning strategy to employ deception, fostering a scoffing and mocking attitude that opposes the promises of God’s Holy Word, as we reflect on the prophetic time clock that is ticking down. Satan is working diligently to rob the church of the joy and anticipation that comes from prophecy being fulfilled, which signifies the soon return of Jesus. We need to learn to live joyfully through both life and death. As disciples of Jesus, there is nothing to fear or be anxious about.
