Center Point Assembly

Sunday, November 6, 2022 – Pastor Ryp brings a message “Wrestling with Judgment and Grace.” Our world is full of deception and confusion. It's way too easy to be harsh and judgmental, or we can err on the other side of Grace and never take a stand on anything. Pastor Ryp helps us understand how to spend our time, enjoying God’s presence, learning about His Grace, and then relaxing in what God has in store for us and others regarding HIs righteousness. It’s not our job to be the fixer of people but to be the “sharer” of God’s love in a broken world. Listen in and learn about the convergence of God’s Holy and righteous judgment and His marvelous Grace that covers all of our sins and assures us eternal beyond our wildest imagination….

Sunday, October 30, 2022 - Today's message is "Church - Heaven's Model on Earth." I don't think many of us think of Church as being a model of what happens in Heaven. For most people, the church is a building that people visit once or maybe twice a week. Some may feel very committed to it, and others may feel that it's an optional thing to attend once in a while if it fits into their busy schedule. The point of today's message is to make the case that the church on earth is the very model of what God is doing in Heaven. If we can appreciate that, we might see our attitude toward the Church differently. First, the Church is Jesus's idea, not man's. Jesus had a reason to establish the church on earth as a body of believers willing to set themselves apart from the sin and brokenness of the world so that they could lead them to Himself. God designs a healthy and vibrant church to attract the broken and needy people to the love of His Son, Jesus. Because God loves the church and its mission, the enemy is set against it. Sadly, the enemy effectively inhibits the mission God has for the church by convincing people that church isn't a necessity in today's busy world. What do you say it is? What is your opinion of the church, are you committed to it, or is it an optional part of your life?

Sunday, October 23, 2022 - The title of this week's message is "Heaven's Perspective of Earth." One may not appreciate that Heaven has a vested interest in Earth. The reason is, everything about Heaven, except for God, depends on what happens on earth. Think about it this way, no one takes anything with them when they die. Whether a person is welcomed in Heaven or destined to suffer in Hell, they take nothing with them other than what they sent ahead while they were alive. This means Heaven's economic system begins first with the "free gift of God's saving Grace and Mercy" and secondly with the "works of men while they live on earth." When we understand Heaven's perspective like this, it helps us appreciate why we need to work hard in the Kingdom of God while we have opportunities on earth. As we set our eyes on Heavenly things, it also helps us live peacefully while going through the hard knocks of life, knowing that we are simply passing through this life as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob recognized. This is where the "peace that passeth all understanding" comes from. Worship and study with us as we nurture Heaven's tug on our heartstrings... Be blessed

Sunday, October 16, 2022 – In today’s message, we are finishing up Revelation 20 as we discuss the “Great White Throne Judgment.” I can’t stress enough the importance of studying prophecy, not from a “fortune teller” perspective but rather from a perspective of “what can I do today to prepare me” for what God has in store. For those judged in this "White Throne Judgment," the final judgment of the wicked, there will be great regret that they didn’t choose to accept Christ and live for Him while they had the chance. We can't even begin to comprehend the utter hopelessness felt at that time. That’s why we’re spending the time to go into detail on the book of “Revelation.” It is a true Revelation of Jesus Christ and His character. Everything God does is for the redemption of mankind, including going into detail on His righteous judgment on sin. From this perspective, this is truly a message of love as we are warned about and given the clear opportunity to accept the Grace of God’s free gift of salvation while we have the time to make that choice. That’s the prayer of this pastor, and that’s why we present the truth of God’s Word as clearly as we can. Be blessed as you worship and study with us…
