Center Point Assembly

The season of passing from on one year to the next is always a good opportunity to examine one's heart and purposely desire to make the new year better than the last year. We are interrupting our study on prayer to purposely examine Paul's teaching to the Philippians on what it means to forget the past and to strive and press forward to the future as he purposed in his life to make Heaven his goal. There is much for us today as we study this and ask the Lord to help us forget, forgive and press ahead. Listen in and be encouraged...

We're continuing the discussion on learning to pray the way that Jesus taught his disciples when they asked him to teach them. We've broken the Lord's Prayer down into 7 segments and we're going to discuss each segment in detail to help us understand and apply this prayer model into a daily communion with God our Heavenly Father. The intent is to teach us to do more than simply recite this prayer as a ritualistic prayer but that we would be able to truly integrate this and be able to live the prayer out in our daily lives. This requires effort and diligence on our part seeking God's will in our life. This places us in position to receive God's blessings. Is this the desire of your heart? If so listen in and learn with uis...

We're beginning to speak on the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to pray as they asked. As we've mentioned in previous messages, there was something obviously different about the life of Jesus and the disciples recognized it as in the way Jesus prayed. So they asked him to teach them. What we are going to try to do in this message and the next is to understand the details of what Jesus meant when he taught them to pray the "Lord's Prayer". It is the prayer of this pastor that we learn to live the prayer as much as being able to recite the prayer. Pray with me as you listen that the Holy Spirit will reveal His knowledge of how we are to live so that we honor our Heavenly Father as we pray...

We're getting into the good stuff now... Prayer is an awesome privilege and the more we're learning about it the more power and freedom we will have in our lives and in our church. However, understand as we discuss today, the powerful prayer that we develop in our prayer closet comes with a cost. The enemy will rise up against this and will do everything he can to stop it. But press on and press in, we are the victors as we do our part. Listen in to be challenged and encouraged to develop "closet prayer" and invite the presence of the power of the Holy Spirit to go with you as you journey on...
