I first met Budd Burton Moss at a film celebration in Long Island, NY. He was there with Rita Hayworth’s daughter, Yasmin Aga Khan, to present an award in Rita Hayworth’s memory. Budd and I developed a close relationship very quickly. I had already interviewed him twice before, but in this three part interview, he reveals stories about the golden age of Hollywood, the legends he has lived and worked with, and his adoration of his client, Rita Hayworth. 

In part two of my interview with operatic soprano Jane Eaglen, she talks about her career and how she became famous for singing the closing title song in Sense and Sensibility.

I knew operatic soprano, Jane Eaglen when I lived and performed in the UK. I covered her on occasion and watched with awe as she gave her premiere of Norma and Brunnhilde with Scottish Opera. Jane has a dynamic sense of humor and does not hold back. And she was just as generous in our interview. It was wonderful to be reunited with her in this way. Her stories about loving Meatloaf, warming up to his music before performances and her fight with brain cancer revealed her strength in character and her fantastic zest for life. 

Ukrainian-American cellist, Valerya Sholokhova, gained a following during Covid for brightening the lives of those who lived near her upper east side NYC apartment as she would come out and play her cello live each evening.  In our interview she revealed intriguing observations about Americans and the American way of life. She is a distinguished young woman who treasures her life here and who desires to bring happiness to all.

The second time I interviewed Constance Towers was just as delightful as the first. In this interview she shares more stories of her life and career.

Constance Towers is an actress with real star power. As a young woman, she married the actor John Gavin and accompanied him when he became the US Ambassador to Mexico. She was a fantastic singer made famous for her performances on Broadway in “The King and I” with Yul Brynner. Her stories of the music business, the movies and working with John Ford, John Wayne and others are incredible. She was such a lovely and distinguished guest. 

Brian Catling was an Oxford Don, an esteemed award winning artist, sculptor, author, lecturer and performance artist. Brian unfortunately passed away during CoVid, but in this remarkable interview he talks passionately about his life, his work and his passion for the American cowboy.

Visual artist and American impressionist painter, Dmitri Wright is a soulful man with a deep spiritual faith that is mirrored in his phenomenal work. This was the second time that I had the privilege of interviewing Dmitri, and once again, our conversation is bathed in inspiration as he discusses the effect of music on his work and his deepest influences.

The first time I interviewed visual artist, Dmitri Wright we explored his early years growing up and of how he helped his single Mother work their way out of the projects. He is a remarkable man with a dignity not often found today.
