Praying Church is a Prevailing Church

As we celebrate the Lord's Supper together this weekend we will make prayer an integral part of our service.  Join your community of faith in prayer this Sunday in remembrance of those who have died for our freedom and Jesus who died for our sin.

Join your church in prayer this week. We will continue our series on prayer as we discover the necessity of prayer in the life of every believer.  Do you ever feel like your prayers stop at the ceiling of your house and never reach heaven?  Do you ever give up when you might be next to the breakthrough?  What is the purpose of praying anyway?  Learn this week how to pray and how to pray for and with others.  It will make a difference in your life.  And don't forget, share with a friend.  It could be the best day of their life.

The Praying Church is the Prevailing ChurchThis week we continue to explore the discipline of prayer in the life of the disciple of Jesus.  We will look closely at the "Disciple's Prayer."  We will continue to encourage the "refocus" of our praying as we emphasize the kingdom.  This being Mother's Day we will have clear application of the prayer to the home.  Come worship the King and learn Biblical principles of prayer to help you in your discipleship.

This week we will examine how crucial and important your prayer life is not only to you personally, but also to your family and church family.  We begin a short series on the discipline (Ouch!, we really don't like that word anymore) of prayer.  Prayer will become a more integral part of our worship celebration this Sunday.  We will look at one of the Apostle Paul's prayers, and it could really change the focus of your prayer life.  Be sure to ask someone to attend worship with you as we continue to reach those far from God.  Lets learn how to prevail in prayer!

"Here am I: Send Someone Else"

Perhaps disheartened over his three denials of the Lord and the confusion over the resurrection of Jesus, Simon Peter went back to what he knew best- he went back to fishing.  Jesus had a different idea altogether.  Explore with me the significance of this post-resurrection experience of Peter and other fishing disciples.  Second and third chances of ministry can change your life and others.  Continue to prayerfully identify, invest, influence, and invite others.  You make a difference through your contacts and care as we continue to reach others.

We will look at "the Gospel in a nutshell" and it's a great time to invite your friends. Be sure to be present and pray people will respond to the simple but profound gospel.

THIS SUNDAY as we prepare for Easter Sunday and "THE BIG INVITE," the pastor will be preaching on the Crucifixion of Jesus.  We will explore one of the last words of Jesus before his death.  Be sure to invite those you have been praying for to come a week early.  It could change their eternity.  It's a Sunday not to miss!

THIS SUNDAY we continue to discover our Why so we can embrace our what with clarity, precision, and passion to fulfill God's purpose in our life. We first examined why we exist. We are created by our Creator, redeemer, and sustainer. Our life exists because of Him. We are to BELIEVE and WORSHIP. Secondly, we explored how God re-created us to be apart of His family- we were born for community- we BELONG. Then we examined a third purpose in light of the Why. We are created to be ministers.  We SERVE.  Four Sundays ago we discovered that we are created to be Christlike. We BECOME.  We explored the significance of becoming fully functioning faithful fruitful fishing followers of Jesus to the glory of God the Father. God accepts us like we are but we aren't to stay there. His grace not only saves us, it transforms us by empowering us to walk in the Spirit! Then we discovered that we are created to be His ambassadors in our world as ministers of reconciliation! We are to be His witnesses!  We SHARE. Join your church family this week as we continue to grow in Jesus and ask the questions why and what.  Three weeks ago we discovered the purpose of evil and suffering in the world, and our personal challenge to ENDURE.  Then, we discoved we are to spend our lives telling our story. Sharing our testimony. This Sunday we we conclude our Why study and discover how we are to respond to the what of our lives and commit to them- We COMMIT! Bring a friend, it may change his or her life.

When? and Where? before asking the question Why? and What?  Those answers without the answers of Why and What lead to a very wasted life and a life of disarray and confusion without the foundation of Biblical truth.  The truth will set you free!! This week we answer the question of about suffering. We ENDURE!
