Work as for the Lord. God is the good Master who gives us our vocations, roles, and responsibilities. We are called to labor diligently from a heart of love in the work God has given us to do.

Labor with joy in the vocations God has given you. We work because God works and created us to do the same. God cares for His world through the labors of people made in His image. We have the privilege of working on God’s behalf.

Think praiseworthy thoughts. Our thoughts are not neutral territory. Our minds are given to us by God to be used for His glory. The thoughts we think must reflect the mind of Christ.

Give thanks for all that the Lord has done for you. Our thanksgiving must be a response of praise to God for His blessings. Every occasion of life is an opportunity to give thanks to our gracious God.

Train your words in grace and praise. We must train our words to glorify God by putting off evil speech, listing to God’s words, and then flooding our speech with gracious and praiseworthy words.

Communicate the goodness and greatness of God. Our words are a gift from God that reflects His character. We speak because He speaks. We must use this gift of words to reflect God’s glory and build up others.

Relate to others while focusing on the Lord. To glorify God through our relationships we must hold Jesus as preeminent in our lives and our vision. God’s greatness and goodness are seen through us when we act godly in our relationships with others.
