Praise the powerful God of mercy. When trouble comes in this sin-broken world we can trust that God is working. He is working mercifully for His people and powerfully in the movement of history.

God is at work in your exile. Your life with all its trials and blessings is not unseen or uncared-for by God. God is at work in your life here on this earth. You can trust Him with the outcome.

Keep yourself from defilement. God’s people must resolve to live a holy life. There will be temptations and enticements from the world to sin. God’s people can live pure lives through the power and provision of God.

Live as exiles. God’s people are exiles in a foreign land. This world is not our home. Yet, we can embrace God’s plan for us as we live out our faith in this godless world.

Rejoice! Justice is coming. God’s justice judges evil and blesses the righteous. This is a message of hope and joy for God’s people and a warning to those in rebellion against God.

Replace the world's negative offers with Christ's positive alternatives. God’s people have been changed by Christ. They have a new identity and a new way of life.

Focus on Christ, not on the world's destructive alternatives. God’s people must take sin seriously and leave behind the old life and the sins of the flesh.

Hope in God’s Justice. God’s message of justice and judgment is both a warning to the wicked and a message of hope and peace for His people. God will bring justice one day soon.
