God’s people are characterized by love. In Jesus' teaching He made the bold claim that those who have eternal life are those who love God and love others. Love is the fruit of a life that has been transformed by God.

Before a believer can be an effective disciple-maker they must have a heart of dependence upon God. Without a heart of dependence all efforts will fail.

Jesus is Savior and King! When Jesus was born some 2000 years ago He fulfilled the prophecy of light, joy and salvation described in Isaiah 9. However, Isaiah's prophecy also looked forward to the time when Christ would come again as reigning King. This Christmas we are reminded of the marvelous truth of the incarnation and we are encouraged to look up in hope for the coming King!

Jesus makes disciples. When Jesus saves a sinner He transforms them from sinner to saint and from enemy to disciple. Christians are disciples, followers of Jesus. In Luke 9 Jesus describes those who follow Him as denying self, taking up their cross and following Him.
