Throughout the Bible, we see God’s heart of compassion for people in difficult situations. As his people, we want to better reflect God’s grace, compassion and hope for those in need.

After the creation of man it was God’s pronouncement that man should be fruitful and multiply. Today that pronouncement stands as we are asked to make disciples of all nations. Are we using our God given gifts to actualize this command today or are we too busy to heed to this call?

Deep down, we all have a desire to make our lives count for something. God wants our lives to count for something too! He wants to give us a life of eternal significance and eternal value when we partner our lives with Him. But what does this partnership look like? What kind of relationship is it? Join us on Sunday as we plan to dive into these questions and see what the bible has to say about living a life that counts.

God created human beings in his own image. What does this mean, and what are its implications for us today?

If we want to experience the transforming power and blessings of Holy Spirit in our lives, we need to be wise in how we walk. We can open our lives to being filled with the Spirit by engaging in spiritual interactions, singing to God, giving thanks to God, and striving to imitate Jesus.

On the night before His death, at the Last Supper, Jesus told His Apostles that He had to go away. He promised them that He would not leave them as orphans, but that He would leave them a Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to be with them. They were concerned by the thought of Him leaving, and likely puzzled by the mention of the Spirit. They would soon learn the important role that the Holy Spirit would have in the Church and in their lives.

All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Jesus (Matthew 28:18). King Jesus is Lord of all (Acts 10:36)! The question is, is he Lord of your life? Every person needs to make a decision to accept or reject Jesus, and neutral we cannot be. What will you do with Jesus, my friend?

Who is Jesus? That’s an important question for us to answer. Jesus made a lot of incredible claims about Himself, but He left it up to each individual to either accept or deny those claims. He demonstrated this one day when He asked His followers the question, “Who do you say I am?”. This is a question that has echoed through the ages ever since and this Sunday, we want to ask it again to ourselves. Is it reasonable for us to believe that Jesus is who He claimed to be, or not?

God has revealed himself to us as the one true God and besides him there is no other (Isaiah 45:5). But who is Jesus Christ and who is the Holy Spirit, and why do they do what they do? We will reaffirm God’s trinitarian nature and its importance in our faith and practice today.

When we meet someone, it’s common to introduce ourselves. An introduction is often brief but it contains the essence of who we are so the other person can understand who they’re speaking with. There is an amazing story in Exodus where Moses asks God to “please show me now your ways, that I may know you”. In response, God offers an introduction of sorts to who He is. These words were very powerful to Moses, and they are still very powerful today as we try to understand the nature of our Father in heaven, and how His nature affects our lives today.
