The story of Sarah is a very interesting one. She isn't the primary focus of the texts that tell us about her and all of the interactions with do have with her display a general weakness of character. And yet God uses the story of this barren woman to highlight His grace. Over and over again we see that God is the hero of Sarah's story and through it we're compelled to trust Him with our own.
As we look at the story of one of the Old Testament's most famous characters we will see a man who pursues God above all else and a man who fails in his pursuit of God regularly. On the surface the book of Ruth tells the great love story of a destitute widow and a land-barren nobleman. But when read with Jesus in mind it paints a picture of God's wonderful and redemptive grace offered to all people.
There are few stories more well-known than the story of Samson, a man so blessed by God yet so flawed and enticed by that which was around him. But a man, most of all, who pointed ahead to Jesus.
As we kick off our fall sermon series called, Story, we look at the story of Rahab who serves as a model and example of faith while highlighting how God's redemptive work extends to all people.

Although short and often forgotten Jude offers key and altogether relevant teaching regarding the dangers of false teachers and the Christian's call in response. This is part I of a two part series that will address this topic.
