Kelvin Templeton played 143 games with Footscray between 1974 - 1982 before a dramatic transfer across to play 34 games with Melbourne 1983 - 1985 with a final career tally of 593 goals. In 1978, Templeton became the first player from Footscray to kick one-hundred goals in a season, doing so at Victoria Park against Collingwood.
