In the recent NIST OCR security conference, a panel member said the terms "HIPAA compliant" and "HIPAA certified" made her cringe. We agree. The Anthem settlement has a lot of people asking about certifications for cybersecurity since Anthem was technically HITRUST Certified when the hacker first broke into their network.
