God love us, for sure. But he doesn't necessarily like us as we are. In his love he offers us salvation and transformation in the gospel, through faith in Jesus Christ. Are we willing to change, by his grace and mercy?

Jesus was anointed with perfume costing a years wages. The woman believed that Jesus was worth it, while the disciples questioned her action. Do we love Jesus enough to be extravagant towards him? He certainly loves us enough to restore the outcasts, by suffering for us on the cross, and by his death and resurrection. We should give our all for Jesus.

Is it enough to say we believe in Jesus? Jesus looks for evidence of faith, the goodness which follows and characterises those who are justified by faith alone. He tells us what to expect on the judgment day, so that no-one will have any excuse for not having trusted in him.
