A call to walk with Jesus is a call to fellowship.

“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.“

Amos‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT

Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?

What does walking with Jesus entail?

It entails going in the same direction he’s headed.

”Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him.“

God calls us to walk with Him. But what does walking with God entail?

What is God’s expectation and what does He really want from us?

Micah‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬ says

”No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.“

Genesis‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

”And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.“

“Enoch walked with God and he was not” just like that! He just disappeared from this world, without dying and without the rapture taking place! How come??

Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

”You are the light of Christ to the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;“

For there to be a need for light, it means there must be darkness. And when the light isn’t shining, the whole place gets filled with darkness.

John‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

”“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.“

Our values and way of doing things as believers should be very different from the way the people around us who are non-believers do things. For this reason, there’s bound to be persecution and this shouldn’t surprise us.

Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.“

When God gives you a vision, that vision cannot be achieved outside of God. You can’t do by your power or might, except by total dependence on God.

Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

”Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.“

What’s God’s vision for your life in that place or position you’re in?

God gave Nehemiah a burden, he identified God’s vision and he ran with it.
