““Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God...”

Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

““You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them….”

Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

““I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.”

In the Old Testament, God gave the Israelites the Ten Commandments which are a summary of laws that the Israelites were to live by. These laws were necessary to help the Israelites know the right way that God wanted them to live and they are still applicable to us Christians today.

Luke‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says

“When the devil had finished every temptation, he [temporarily] left Him until a more opportune time.”

Temptations will always come because the devil is always looking for opportunities to tempt us but when we fight the temptations the way Jesus did, we will always win.

Matthew‬ ‭4:8-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.””

What’s your price? Is getting what the world has to offer enticing enough to make you disobey and dishonour God?

This time the devil tempts Jesus with the Pride of life. Jesus should show his power and let the world know that he’s Superman! God has no choice but to back him up right? When we know who we are in Christ, even though we have the power of God working in our favour, we will be humble!

Genesis‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

““God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.””
