“We speak of extraversion when he gives his whole interest to the outer world, to the object, and attributes an extraordinary importance and value to it. When, on the contrary, the objective world sinks into the shadow, at it were, or undergoes a devaluation, while the individual occupies the center of his own interest and becomes in his own eyes the only person worthy of consideration.” - C.G. We live in two worlds, and are individually drawn more to one than the other, resulting in very different experiences of daily life. Jung gave us two words, which we still use today. But has the modern meaning stayed true to his ideas?

“If a man says he is the triple god or the pope or Jesus, I say: "Why not?-anybody can be Jesus." But it happened once that I had another man in the same ward who said he was Jesus too; we had two Jesuses, and how could I make out which was the one? I simply put them together in the same room to let them have it out.” - C.G. Jung

Jung worked his whole life as therapists, since his time fresh out of university up to his death in a very advanced age. During this time he gathered a lot of different stories to exemplify his theories and methods, join us to expereine a collection that you can find nowhere else.

Jung spent almost half his life studying alchemy. Unburying ancient texts, translating them, analysing their symbolism. Why? Because he saw there a culmination of all his work thousands of years before he was even born. Join us into this deep exploration of the transformation of our psychology.

“The functions are vehicles for the forces, or influences, or activities, which emanate from those two principles, those two gods, Logos and Eros. And perhaps you can also understand that if there were no principles whatever outside of the functions, one could never hope to detach anything form the unconscious. There must be something which helps one to detach a function, some principle outside which allows one to tear it away from the original lump of unconsciousness.”

There are few things in the psychology of Jung that are as fundamental as the opposites of Eros and Logos and how they share and form every aspect of our psyche up to the point that they can determine the basis of our whole psychology and worldview.

“The inferior function contains the priceless treasure of life force and therefore it is so important to bring it up. It is not for vulgar or criminal purposes, for the sake of its evil, that I try to bring out the swine or the criminal in people-whatever kindly critics may think.” - C.G. Jung

For Jung our dark and hidden parts are the gate to personal development. The most immediate path we have is our inferior function with which we can pull up the complete unconscious from our psyche. In this event we will explore this function and why inferior doesn’t mean lesser.

There are patterns deep inside the human psyche that are older than humans. They were experienced and codified by past cultures as mythology, stories and religion. These patterns of behavior are described by Jung as archetypes. Join this event to learn more about the foundation of the collective unconscious.

In my investigations into the concepts and ideas of the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung I stumble upon topics that are so obscure that I need to talk about them. This time: Dancing, which is of full of symbolic significance and we will use this event to talk more about it.
