Dan Hibson, the athletics supervisor for the city of San Mateo, may be better known as the former girls’ basketball coach at his alma mater of Hillsdale, when he took a team that was 3-79 in the seasons prior to his arrival and after four years, had compiled a record of 47-38 ending in 2012.

He returned to the Hillsdale athletic program after a five-year hiatus, joining as an assistant girls’ basketball coach in 2017 and with the Hillsdale boys’ basketball team this season. He is also a self-taught basketball shooting coach and has spent more time as a youth baseball and basketball coach as well.

Coach Plum will be be entering his second season as head girls basketball coach at Fort Calhoun schools for the 2021-22 season. Coach Plum comes to Fort Calhoun after a thirteen-year stint at Skutt Catholic in Omaha, where he ran up a 181-129 record during that time.  With a one year stint added to Coach Plum’s resume from Gothenburg (NE), his overall record as a head coach is 197-135.  Coach Plum also spent time as an assistant coach at Skutt Catholic (three seasons), Sioux City Heelan (one season), and Briar Cliff College (six seasons); his overall record as a coach is 430-194, which includes five national tournament appearances, one Final Four (2001), five state tournament appearances, one state runner-up (2005), two-state semi-final appearances (2006, 2010) and eight district finals appearances.  Coach Plum is employed as a history teacher at Skutt Catholic, and he also owns and operates a podcast entitled “A Pen And A Napkin”.

Coach George Dukes  was born in Augusta, Ga to George and Lynda Dukes. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County, where he  also played basketball . After high school he received an Associate Degree at Georgia Military College and then attended Troy University, where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration/Information Systems. He is currently in ABD status at Walden University, where he is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration/Information Systems. He is currently the Cyber Security teacher at Grovetown High School.

Coach Dukes is entering his 3rd year as head girl's coach of the Grovetown Lady Warriors. Coach Dukes started coaching with his dad (George Dukes Jr) after high school graduation and has been in the gym ever since. He trained and coached his two younger brothers Kenny and Kevin Dukes to collegiate careers. Coach Dukes coached with the Georgia Sting AAU basketball organization for 10 years. Coach Dukes and his staff(Ryan Holmes,Kenny Dukes,Lonnie Mccallie, James Hardaway and a few other volunteer coaches over the years) piled up over 300 wins ,which included: 2017 Nike Tournament of Champions(Exposure) championship,  2016 Peach State(Brandon Clay) exposure championship, 2014 USBA National championship, 2018 Run 4 the Roses Platinum championship Runner up(which led his team to be contacted by a couple of Nike EYBL teams to play in preparation of their EYBL Nike Nationals. Also, 2013 and 2014 USBA National title runner-ups. There were several final four appearances which included, Battle of the Boro/Run 4 the roses, etc.

Coach Dukes ran the Episcopal Day School boys and girls basketball program from 2013-2015 winning one title and appearing in three other finals. Following his tenure at EDS, Coach Dukes was an assistant girls varsity coach at Augusta Prep Day School for 2 seasons, before becoming the Head Boys Varsity coach the following season.

George is married to Yessenia Dukes. They are proud parents of Acacia Blue, Kambryn Dukes, Chloe Mays, Chauncey Dukes, Taylor Mays and Christian Dukes.

Lake Oconee Academy is pleased to welcome Drew Anthony to the new football staff for the upcoming school year.  Anthony will serve as the Head Football Coach and will oversee the development of the initial 1st-12th grade football programs at the school.  He will teach various high school Social Studies classes including Advanced Placement Government and Economics.  He brings with him 27 years of coaching experience in the Georgia High School Association as well as an extensive background in teaching Social Studies, Special Education, and Physical Education.

Anthony is relocating to the Lake Oconee area from St. Mary’s, GA where he served as assistant football coach as well as the Special Teams Coordinator and Academic Athletic Coordinator for Camden County High School, a perennial football powerhouse. Prior to that, he served as the Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends coach at Buford High School for 14 years. During his time at Buford, Anthony won Assistant Coach of the Year as well as 13 Region Championships and eight State Championships. He also coached Track and Field and produced a State Champion in shot put and discus.  Early in his career, he coached at Washington-Wilkes High School and Cedar Shoals High School, where he served as Offensive Coordinator.

Wolfe has been the head coach of the Lady Wolves softball team since 2007.  He was also the head coach of the baseball team serving in that capacity from 1997 to 2017.  Wolfe has been a part of an impressive 12 state championship teams between the two teams. He led the  Lady Wolves with a final overall record of 429-78-2, 11 region championships and 10 state championships.  In 2019, Wolfe was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Softball Hall of Fame solidifying his legacy on softball in the state of Georgia.

Garrett Hickey enters his fourth season at Fairfield Prep as the Associate Head Coach. The 2013 Assumption University and 2015 Sacred Heart University graduate most recently was an Assistant Coach at Albertus Magnus from 2015-2017. Coach Hickey helped Albertus Magnus make back to back GNAC Championships, winning the title in 2016-17. Prior to his time at Albertus, Coach Hickey was an assistant for ND-Fairfield where they lost in the Class L State Championship. Coach Hickey is also a trainer and coach for PHD Baksetball and has his own own blog called #ShareTheGame.

Jamie Parish is in his 9th season with the Sioux Falls Washington Warriors Girls’ basketball program (2013-current).  He teaches Physical Education at Hawthorne Elementary in Sioux Falls.  Coach Parish brings a variety of experiences to Washington.  As a head coach Parish has stops in Vermillion (2003-2009) and Centerville (2010-2012), SD.  Most recently at Centerville he was the athletic director, physical education teacher, and girls’ basketball coach.  As a head coach he was fortunate to coach teams in four state tournaments including a state championship with the Vermillion girls in 2007.  During that stretch he was named the SDHSAA Girls Regional Coach of the Year in 2005, 2007, and 2011, the Region 4A Coach of the year in 2005 and 2006, and was honored with coaching duties in the SDHSAA All-Star games in Aberdeen on two separate occasions

Originally from Yankton, SD Parish earned an Elementary Education Degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD and a Masters Degree from the University of South Dakota.  Parish married his wife Laura (Johnson) of Wessington Springs, SD in May of 2012.  They are expecting twins in April of 2014.
