Kyle Snipes enters his 12th season as the Head Girls' Varsity Coach in 2020-21, and is also the Communications Coordinator at St. Pius X.  In his first 11 seasons, the Golden Lions are 232-93 and have captured two state championships and four region titles. In 2020, the Golden Lions finished 21-8, won the Region 8 championship and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs for the second straight year.  The 2019 squad finished 14-15, was region runner-up and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.  Advancing to the state tournament for the eighth straight year in 2018, the Golden Lions finished 14-12.  In 2017, St. Pius X finished the year with a 12-17 record and qualified for the state tournament.  In 2016, the Golden Lions finished 17-11 and advanced to the state playoffs for the sixth straight year. The 2015 campaign concluded with a 27-4 record and an Elite Eight appearance in the state tournament. The Golden Lions also finished 18-0 in Region 6-AAAA, the fifth consecutive undefeated region season, including a string of 75-consecutive regular season region wins dating to January, 2010. In 2013 & 2014 the team finished with identical 30-3 records and back-to-back AAA state championships. The 2012 campaign finished with another state playoff appearance and a 24-5 record, including a second consecutive undefeated season in sub-region play.  In 2011, St. Pius X finished 25-6, capturing the Region 5 championship by defeating AAA No.1-ranked Columbia and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in four seasons.  In his first season, the Golden Lions finished 18-9.  Snipes joined St. Pius X after coaching stints with the women's basketball programs at Georgia Tech, UNC Wilmington and Georgia State.  Prior to coaching women's basketball, Snipes spent five years on the men's side at Wake Forest and Erskine College. During his time in Winston-Salem, the Demon Deacons captured the 2000 National Invitation Tournament Championship.  He has also mentored nine All-Conference players in his career.  Snipes earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wake Forest University, where he was a student manager with the men's basketball team which won the 1995 ACC Championship.  He completed his Master of Education degree from Liberty University.  Snipes is a native of Hillsborough, NC and is married to the former Melissa Jenkins of Houston, TX.  The couple has three daughters, Megan (11), Molly (8) and Mary Mason (6).

CSM (Ret) Scott A. Reed Head Boys Basketball Coach Mar Vista HS in Imperial Beach, CA

Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Scott A. Reed entered the service on 18 February, 1993.  He served four combat tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.  His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (2nd award), the Bronze Star Medal (3rd Award), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (5th award), the Army Commendation Medal (7th award), and the Army Achievement Medal (5th award).

Sergeant Major has served in all leadership positions from Squad Leader to Drill Sergeant to Drill Sergeant Leader to First Sergeant to Battalion and Brigade Command Sergeant Major serving in the 2nd Infantry Division, the 82d Airborne Division, and the 1st Cavalry Division.  Sergeant Major’s individual accomplishments include: the Army Training Center Drill Sergeant of the Year and the first Soldier from the 7th Transportation Battalion to be inducted into the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club.

Upon retiring from the military, Scott accepted a position as the Deputy Program Manager for the San Diego Unified School District’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and served as a varsity assistant coach at Kearny High School, San Diego, CA.  The team went 14-13 and was defeated in the CIF Division 2 playoffs in the second round.  Scott accepted a job at Morse High School, San Diego, CA as the Senior Army Instructor in the school’s JROTC program.  His program was 190 Cadets when he arrived, but has now grown to over 320 Cadets.  Scott coached the Morse High boys freshman basketball program for two seasons with a 33-17 record.  In 2019, Scott was hired at Mar Vista High School, Imperial Beach, CA as the head varsity basketball coach.  He led the program to their first winning season in 10 years going 19-11 and reaching the CIF semifinals.  The program’s cumulative GPA for all three levels was 3.6.

Scott is married to Belinda and they have five children, Alexis 27, Syris 24, Cameron 21, Jada 17 and Jamison 15.  Scott received his Bachelor’s Degree from Excelsior College.

Helped Utah Valley State College Women's team achieve a record of 27-10, capturing the SWAC region tournament championship as well as a seventh place finish in the National Junior College Tournament in the 2000-2001 season.

In first season helped Utah Valley State College achieve an overall record of 22-9 and a 12-6 record in the Scenic West Conference and coordinated a defense that led the conference in fewest points allowed (59.8) and was consistently in the top ten in the nation in that category during the season.

Jeff Graham became the head coach of Belt’s girls’ basketball team before the 2007-2008 season. At that time he was the head football coach in Belt while also serving as the head assistant coach for the University of Great Falls women’s basketball team. Graham has remained in the Belt community ever since. He has served as an assistant and head track coach since 2008 and became the athletic director in 2012. Belt has won 19 divisional championships since 2007 in football, girls’ basketball, and track.

This past season the Lady Huskies were crowned “Co-Champions” after their semifinal victory in the state tournament. The Lady Huskies played Saturday night at the State Tournament for 10 straight years from the 2007-2008 season to the 2016-2017 season. The Belt girls have won 6 of the past 9 State Championships.

During Graham’s tenure at Belt there have been 10 girls who have went on to play Frontier basketball.  These players have helped the Huskies win 11 consecutive Conference and District Tournament along with 7 Divisional Tournaments. Graham has been fortunate enough to have amazing assistant coaches such as Suzy Maki, Renzi Horton, and Mollie Rose. These assistants have helped guide the Lady Huskies to a 318-34 record over the past 13 seasons.

Graham’s biggest success in life is his family. He married Megan Schmitz, a University of Montana-Western Hall of Famer he met while the two were playing college basketball there. His wife Megan has been an assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team and is currently an assistant for Cross Country and Track.

They have been blessed with 4 amazing children. Cadence, 11, is an Elks Free Throw State Champion and her sister Ellison, 9, is a two-time Elks Free Throw Regional Champion. Their brothers Jace (6) and Jimmer (2) love every sport and keep their parents on their toes. Graham is a fourth generation coach and athletic director. His dad coached him in football, basketball, and track at Chester, Montana where the Coyotes achieved success in all three sports.

Mountain MacGillivray, a Philadelphia native who helped lead Quinnipiac to seven straight 20-win seasons and a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2017, was appointed the ninth head coach in La Salle University women's basketball history in April of 2018. He begins his third year at the helm of the program in 2020-21.

During the 2019-20 campaign, MacGillivray's Explorers showed vast improvements from year one to two of his tenure, including the program's best start since 2006 at 6-1. The Blue & Gold more than doubled both its overall (13) and Atlantic 10 (7) win totals in year two. The victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions was La Salle's first over a Power 5 program since November 2015 and first over a Big 10 school since taking down Northwestern in December of 1988. The Explorers also swept Big 5 and A-10 rival Saint Joseph's for the first time ever. A gritty win over the Hawks inside Hagan Arena was the first since 1998.

MacGillivray spent the previous nine seasons at Quinnipiac, including the last three as the associate head coach. The Bobcats had tremendous success during MacGillivray's tenure, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in four of his last five seasons, including three wins in NCAA play over the final two.

MacGillivray's role with the Bobcats evolved through the years and one of his greatest responsibilities is within the recruiting of prospective student-athletes. His success in the recruiting landscape has only improved through the years as his last two incoming classes featured the four highest-ranked recruits in program history. In his eight years with the Bobcats, MacGillivray helped guide 18 All-Conference players, including 10 in his final three seasons, as well as three Defensive Player of the Year award winners and three Tournament MVPs.

Quinnipiac went undefeated in the MAAC in 2017-18 for the third time in six years, winning the conference regular season title for the fifth time in six seasons. After earning the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament with a victory over Marist in the MAAC title game, the Bobcats earned a No. 9 seed and defeated Miami (Fla.) in the opening round.

In 2016-17, MacGillivray helped Quinnipiac to a pair of upset wins in NCAA Tournament action, defeating Marquette and Miami (Fla.) en route to the Sweet 16. The Bobcats won four conference championships and averaged 26 wins over thatt seven year span, and head coach Tricia Fabbri won MAAC Coach of the Year four times with the contributions of MacGillivray.

MacGillivray has 13 years of experience coaching at the high school and AAU levels, helping turn Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania into one of the most successful prep programs in the country. He also guided the Philadelphia AAU Lady Running Rebels from 2000-02 and Delaware Valley Comets AAU team in 2006.

A 1996 graduate of Temple with a degree in journalism, MacGillivray and his wife Grace have eight children: Chiara, Mary, Brigid, Sean, Catherine, Joseph, Theresa, and Emily.

McClure, from Charlotte, taught science at Willis High School in 1986. In 1990, he took the job as Campbell’s girls coach.

The Lady Spartans have appeared in the Georgia state tournament 17 of the last 19 seasons. On nine occasions, McClure guided the Lady Spartans to the elite eight or better. Campbell is honoring the two coaches by naming its new basketball facility the Gwyn-McClure Gymnasium. The new gym, which seats 3,500, opened in 2017. Now it’s got a name. On Dec. 7, McClure led Campbell to a 48-46 win over Marietta to reach 500 career victories.  He has a career mark of 502-317, with no plans of stepping down.
