Coach Campbell just completed his 26th season as a head girls’ basketball coach and his 15th as the head coach at Clovis West HS in Fresno, CA

In eleven years as the Varsity Girls’ Coach at Reno High School, they won eight straight Sierra League Championships and averaged over 22 wins per season.  Reno High School was the 2001 4A State Champion and the 2000, 2004 and 2005 4A State Runner-Up.   Reno High was also the Regional Champion in ’98, ’00, ’03, ’04 and ‘05.  He has over 600 career wins and has been recognized as Coach of the Year in 23 of his 26 seasons by multiple publications.   His teams have produced an abundance of All-League and All-State selections.  Under Coach Campbell’s tutelage, 50 players have gone on to play collegiate basketball in the last 19 seasons.

In his fifteen years at Clovis West, Coach Campbell’s teams have won 390 games, 15 consecutive League Titles and the 2007, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 Valley Championships, including winning the CIF Open Division State Championship as well as being chosen as ESPN’s 2017 National Champion!  They were the only Central Section team to be selected for the state’s Open Division 6 straight years, which consists of the top 16 teams in the state.  His teams have won 22 consecutive League Championships.  He was also the first Coach to win the prestigious Nike Tournament of Champions with two different schools including winning the National Division in 2017.  He was also chosen as the 2017 California State Coach of the Year!

He has worked the Kobe Bryant Academy as well as being a commissioner at the Michael Jordan Flight School for 8 years.

At Clovis West, they have won 15 consecutive League Titles and 8 straight Section titles, including 11 of 15 overall.

Clovis West is the only public school  to be selected for the CIF Open Division the last 7 years straight which is the top 16 schools out of 1500+ high schools.  We were also the 2017, 2018, 2019 Public High School State Team of the Year.

We have been between #1 and #3 in 3 point shooting in our state out of over 1500 high schools for the last 7 years and are considered one of the top 3 point shooting teams nationally during that span as well.

Coach Campbell’s daughter, Madison, was the 1st 4 time 1st Team All State player from Clovis West.  She was also selected as a Who’sNxt All American and graduated as a valedictorian.  She is a redshirt freshman at USC as she herniated a disc in her back and missed her frosh season.  She holds school records for:

She had a record of 127-12 over her career.  Her 127 wins are a Central Section record for boys or girls.

In 2017, we won the CIF Open Division State Championship and were selected as National Champion by USA Today, Maxpreps, and ESPNW.  We defeated 9 of the top 25 teams in the nation that year and also defeated 8 McDonald’s All Americans.

We will have 11 kids playing college basketball next season and all 7 of our class of 2021 will have scholarship opportunities as well

"Coach Coby Durden is entering his 6th year being with the Buford High School (GA) girls’ basketball team. He serves as an assistant coach under his father Gene Durden. He has helped guide the Lady Wolves basketball team to five state championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) in his six years coaching with the program. After graduating from Buford High School, he played collegiately at the University of North Georgia for Coach Chris Faulkner."

Sarah Hopkins-Chery enters her fifth season as the head coach for the University of California, Merced women's basketball team. She begins the 2019-20 campaign with an all-time coaching record of 79-45, 38-12 in California Pacific Conference play.

Hopkins-Chery’s 79 wins are good for second among any other active head coach in the conference.

A native of Essex, England, Hopkins-Chery brings both playing and coaching experience to UC Merced.  In England, Hopkins-Chery attended Greensward College and attributes much of her stardom in the game of basketball to the Swifts Basketball Club along with Greensward.  While with Swifts and Greensward, both teams were yearly national championship contenders, while she was a player and a coach.

She first earned international playing experience with the Under 16 and Under 20 England teams and eventually England’s senior women’s nation team in 2002.

Hopkins-Chery attended and played basketball at Jefferson College where she was an NJCAA Academic All-American Scholar-Athlete in 2005, All-Region Academic Team member in 2005 and a two-time MCCAC Academic All-Conference honoree.  Additionally, the Vikings were conference champions in 2004 and 2005 while she was a part of the program.

After two years at Jefferson she transferred to Park University where she became a standout on the women’s basketball team.  As a player at Park she helped lead a Pirates squad to the programs first-ever appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in 2005-06 after winning a conference title in the Association of Independent Institutions (AII).  Hopkins-Chery was also honored as an AII-Academic All-Conference member and an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete in 2006 (the first of three times she received this honor).

Lewis comes to Lehi with an impressive resume. Basketball fans may remember Lewis as a former star player at Timpview High School. He was named 3A MVP as a senior and went on to play at Dixie State University where he finished as one of the top 25 scorers in the nation. His father, Tim Lewis, was a very successful coach at Timpview. The love of basketball was a family tradition for Lewis and continues to be a passion for the coach who was named the National High School Coach of the Year by Max Preps and Naismith.

“I have strong ties to the community and am excited to be coaching at Lehi. They have a great basketball history and I hope we can continue that tradition,” said Lewis.

Lewis has coached at UVU, SUU, BYU Hawaii before becoming the head coach at Lone Peak High School. For 12 years under his leadership, Lone Peak won 7 state titles, 4 titles in the 5A classification. Twenty-two of his players have gone on to play college basketball. He was the assistant coach under Dave Rose at BYU and most recently was the athletic director at Timpview.

He is married to Debbie and is the father of four children.

Ernie has worked for the GHSA since 2002 and his main responsibility is overseeing the officiating department for all sports. He also is the sport coordinator for basketball, baseball and softball.  He assists in the administration of many championship events. He often represents the GHSA at state, regional and national sports-related conferences.

Ernie and his wife, Cindy, have two wonderful children (Shawn and Chelsy) and are the proud grandparents of Hampton.

Ernie was born in Alameda, California and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma. He and Cindy reside in mid-town Atlanta near the Fox Theatre.

A Viet Nam era veteran of the US Navy, Ernie was a College Division football All American at the University of San Diego in 1973. He attempted a professional football career with three different teams (Colts, Saints, Chargers).

Ernie worked for 13 years in player development in the NFL (Buccaneers, Cardinals and Jets).  He coached and taught for six years at the high school level and 10 years at the college level (Whittier College, Cal State Pomona, Emory University).

Actively involved in fast pitch softball for 45 years as a player, coach, and administrator, Ernie currently serves on the Georgia ASA State Board as Assistant J.O. Commissioner and Coaches Liaison. He also operates the Georgia Academy of Softball in Peachtree City.

Ernie officiated high school and college basketball for 30 years, and officiated international practice games for the 1996 Olympics. He was the Director of Officiating for the first women's professional basketball league (ABL) 1996-99.

Ernie’s hobbies include conducting youth sports camps, and he has more than 2,000 DVDs, which he loves to watch in the theater room at he and Cindy’s lake house.

Jerry Finkbeiner is in his eighth season as the head women’s basketball coach at Utah State.

Finkbeiner (pronounced Fink-by-ner) was named the ninth head coach in USU program history on April 26, 2012. He is just the second male coach in Utah State history, joining Bob Corbin, who was the Aggies’ coach from 1984-86. Finkbeiner is only the second USU coach since the reinstatement of the program in 2003, when Raegan Pebley took over.

Finkbeiner has an overall record of 570-366 (.609) in 30 years as a collegiate head coach, including his time at Utah State, Oral Roberts (1996-2013) and Southern Nazarene (1991-96). He is also 24th in the nation among active Division I coaches with his 570 career wins.

Finkbeiner came to Utah State from Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Okla., where he spent 16 years as head coach. During his tenure at ORU, the Golden Eagles averaged 17 wins per season and advanced to postseason play eight times with five trips to the NCAA Tournament and three appearances in the WNIT.

As the head coach at Oral Roberts, Finkbeiner led the Golden Eagles to seven Summit League regular season and tournament titles and six 20-win seasons. At ORU, Finkbeiner coached five All-Americans, eight conference players of the year, five conference newcomers of the year and 26 all-conference selections. He was named conference coach of the year twice during his ORU tenure.

In his six years prior to ORU, Finkbeiner led Southern Nazarene to three-straight NAIA national titles and a combined 99-4 record from 1994 to 1996. Finkbeiner posted a 186-20 record in six seasons at SNU. During his career at Southern Nazarene, Finkbeiner coached nine NAIA All-Americans and a two-time NAIA Player of the Year, while five of his players went on to play professional basketball overseas.

Finkbeiner, a native of Southern California, attended Southern Nazarene in Oklahoma City, Okla., from 1975-80, where he was a four-year letterwinner. In that time, he was selected as a Christian Collegiate All-American in 1978. Finkbeiner graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in physical education and completed his master’s degree in physical education at Northwest Missouri State University. Along with coaching at SNU, Finkbeiner worked as a professor in the kinesiology and sports management department.

Finkbeiner and his wife, Reva, have five children two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law: Isaac (Angela), Ben (Alycia), Corban (Nathan), Micha (Tommy) and Bethany and 11 grandchildren. His son, Ben, is the associate head coach for the Aggies.

In his four years as the head coach at Aquinas, Hackenberg guided the Knights to four straight district titles — something only achieved in Stark County history by McKinley from 1974-77. Aquinas had never even won back-to-back district titles in the program’s history until this run.

Last season they went 17-8 and had a great year - winning the District 4 Championship. He’s coached two college basketball players, one who just finished a great career at Mount Vernon Nazarene and one heading to Mount Union for basketball. He’s coached the North-South game for Ohio, won coach of the year for our state by the coaches association, and won basketball coach of the year for Stark County. He has 126 wins as a high school head basketball coach.

Herb Ran youth and AAU teams for the last 22 years in Omaha. He Developed over 50 kids who have received college scholarships. He Spoke to 1,500 coaches as a presenter at the 2008 Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Clinic.

Bob Hurley calls him a jewel. Howard Garfinkel calls him a right-hand man. Coach K and The General can pick him out of a crowd.  a film crew from Sysko's, a basketball instructional video retailer, came to Omaha Central for one afternoon. Five or six hours. Welling and a group of Omaha teenagers demonstrated the dribble-drive motion, which Central has used to win state championships the past three seasons. Now Welling's videos - thanks to Memphis' success and a plug from Sports Illustrated - are selling faster than anything Sysko's has ever produced. That includes videos by coaching heavyweights Bo Ryan, Bill Self, Jim Boeheim, Jim Calhoun, Billy Donovan and Carolina's Roy Williams.

Tony Ingle has given hundreds of keynote speeches through the years to a wide variety of audiences that has included such clients as: Nike, Mercedes, Atlanta Hawks, Meadow Gold, Bell South, Pro Image, Boys & Girls Clubs and countless others.  He also nationally known as a college basketball coach that has won two National Championships.

Whether he is coaching from the podium or the hardwood, he knows how to get into your heart and mind with a burning desire to achieve greatness.  He has the ability to enlighten, entertain and inspire his audiences regardless if they are small businesses, big corporations, leadership conferences, and motivating teams or addressing large assemblies.

When Coach Ingle is speaking to a large audience, he has the ability to make each individual feel like he is talking specifically to them, which enhances their desire to take action.

Tony Ingle was born with a face deformity and had five operations.  He grew up in the government housing projects of Dalton, Georgia and was so poor he had to fish his basketball shoes out of a dumpster so he could try out for the high school team.

After graduating from high school, Tony received a basketball scholarship to attend college.  While participating in the National JUCO Tournament he suffered a horrific knee injury.  Knowing that his playing days were numbered, he changed his dream from winning a National Championship as a player to winning one as a coach.  A dream was born!

Tony climbed the coaching ladder that culminated as bing the interim head coach at BYU.  After a nightmarish 0-19 campaign, full of injuries and blowout losses, BYU put Coach Ingle on the street.

During the three years in basketball wilderness, he performed a series of jobs to provide for his wife an five children – he sold carpet, worked as a color commentator at KSL TV for the Mountain West Conference and even did some standup comedy.  Tony’s second chance finally came at Kennesaw State University where he orchestrated one of the best “comeback” stories in all sports.  He coached the Owls to a 30 game winning streak and won the NCAA Division II National Championship, and it only took him 31 years.  The Dream was born and he never let it die… “DREAMS COME TRUE!”

Coach Izzy Ingle is entering his 6th season as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Timpanogos High School. The T-Wolves won three straight Region Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019 where Coach Ingle was named “Coach of Year” in 2017 and 2018 by the Utah High School Basketball Coaches Association. Izzy hit a major milestone last year on December 20, 2018 when he won his 200thgame as a head coach. Prior to coming to THS, Izzy was the Head Men’s Coach at Gordon State College in Barnesville, GA from 2007-2014. The Highlanders averaged 21.7 wins a season over his last three years and won the 2012 NJCAA Region 17 Championship and the NJCAA District 13 Championship. Izzy was named the NJCAA District 13 “Coach of the Year” and is the youngest Head Coach in Georgia Junior College history to lead a team to the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.  Shortly after his departure, Coach Ingle was inducted into the Gordon State College Athletic "Hall of Fame". Overall, he’s been named “Coach of the Year” on 4 separate occasions.

Before his coaching experience at Gordon State, Izzy was a member of the coaching staff at Kennesaw State University (2006-2007) and played at KSU from 2002-2006.  The Fighting Owls won two Peachbelt Conference Regular Season Championships (2004 and 2005), a Peachbelt Conference Tournament Championship (2004), an NCAA DII South Atlantic Region Championship (2004), and were crowned the NCAA DII National Champions (2004). Izzy finished his playing career as the all-time winningest player in KSU history with an overall playing record of 97-38.

Coach Izzy Ingle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University and a Master's Degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University. He is married to the former Candice Johnson from Orem, UT (Timpanogos graduate '01) and they have four daughters: Isabelle, Ivy, Indie and Isla.
