Change of Direction: How do I know this is from the Lord?

Welcome back to another episode of The Freedom Podcast!

I feel like God is calling me in another direction but I’m not sure, how I know this feeling is from the Lord. 


  • “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him” James 1:5 
  • Walking away from your old self is difficult but the Lord will prompt your heart when it’s time to switch gears. 
  • Change of perspective. How I view work, relationships, and friends will change based on aligning with Christ. 
    • Remember God gives us free will. When we are aligned with Christ he will guide our future. 
    • The Lord speaks to us through his word and convicts our hearts & minds. We become sanctified in the word (John 17:17) 
    • When we’re in the word we will know God's will because our decisions will align with the Bible. God will never ask us to sin. 
    • God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us discern.  
    • God will give us peace in the situation. God is a god of order, not chaos. 
      • “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16
