"Kurvan nirantaraṁ karma loko 'yam anuvartate tenaiva karmaṇā dhyāyan māṁ parāṁ bhaktim icchati" (Brahma Saṁhitā 5.61), which means that "Kurvan nirantaraṁ karma," everybody's got to work. Sorry if I wrecked your day. Every living entity has to work. Kṛṣṇa says that in the Bhagavad Gita also: "Na hi kaścit kṣaṇam api jātu tiṣṭhaty akarma-kṛt kāryate hy avaśaḥ karma sarvaḥ prakṛti-jair guṇaiḥ" (BG 3.5).He said, not even for a moment can you stop working? Not even for a second. You got to go.
Everyone's got to move, move along. And so, "Kurvan nirantaram karma," everyone has to perpetually move. Nirantaram karma, perpetually in motion to do something, you can't stop doing something. "Kurvan nirantara karma loko 'yam anuvartate," this applies to everybody in the world. "Tenaiva karmaṇā dhyāyan māṁ parāṁ bhaktim icchati," therefore he says, do your work for me, whatever you're doing, dedicate to me. Kṛṣṇa says it in the Bhagavad Gita also: "Yat karoṣi yad aśnāsi yaj juhoṣi dadāsi yat yat tapasyasi kaunteya tat kuruṣva mad-arpaṇam.". Whatever you do, offer it to me; whatever you're eating, offer that to me. That's bhakti. That's what the teaching of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness is: don't quit your day job or your night job.
You don't have to change your clothes or your hairstyle, nothing like that. Just change the way you work and your attitude towards it; it's a sacrament. You're offering it to God. "Kurvan nirantaraṁ karma loko 'yam anuvartate tenaiva karmaṇā dhyāyan," your meditation should be, "māṁ parāṁ bhaktim icchati," that I'm doing this for God. That's my contemplation. I'm doing everything for the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
