It's our very first episode of You Love to See It featuring a TV show this week! Did we check out Watchmen? The Mandalorian? The Witcher? Nope! Niki and guides editor Dillon Skiffington brought the The Circle into our lives this week, for a discussion about Netflix's streaming reality show. Did everyone enjoy it? Also nope! But you can find out why on this week's episode of You Love to See It.
The gang is watching Gargoyles, baby! Oh wait sorry no they're just reading the descriptions of every episode. They're also chatting about Skylanders, Pokemon, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE, and Danielle's recent dive into Prey: Mooncrash. There is also an earth-shattering sneeze, courtesy of Niki. It's a beefy one, folks! The episode and the sneeze!
This week, we welcome Chris Wade and Molly O’Brien of the And Introducing, podcast to the Papal Bull, to talk John Malkovich’s Papality, Catholic backgrounds, Meghan Markle and much more. There’s finally… wait for it… a new pope in this episode!
The knives may be out, but the hosts are most assuredly in this week! On this episode of You Love to See It, the gang convenes to discuss the 2019 whodunnit Knives Out. The star-studded feature from director Rian Johnson (Looper, The Last Jedi) takes some twists and turns. But it always finds its way back to a heart of gold... even if some of the details along the way don't always make sense. Can our hosts tell a real knife from a prop in this analysis of the hit mystery? Find out on You Love to See It!
We've got the whole town lightin' up dynamite with our latest look at a Fanbyte favorite. Control really captured the hearts and minds of most of our editors last year, so we decided to get a few of us together and discuss (i.e. spoil the hell out of) Remedy Entertainment's supernatural action thriller. Be warned! If it still wasn't clear, this bonus episode will contain spoilers for the main plot and some side quests of Control. If you're okay with that, join us on this journey through the Oldest House.
The gang continues to shake things up this week with a very nice appearance from Fanbyte Editor-in-Chief John Warren! The former game developer joins the crew to discuss the dreaded crunch: that period towards the end of any creative endeavor where employers are often forced to work unreasonable hours at the end of a production cycle. We go into the pitfalls of turning this term into a buzzword and how it often blinds us to the bigger picture. Then we wrap things up with game talk and... mascots. Yeah...
Political intrigue and millennial moods abound in this latest episode of Papal Bull: Resurrection. Join your hosts, plus surprise guest Virgil Texas of Chapo Trap House, on another ride through the woolly world of the fictional Vatican. Also there might be a ghost this time. Maybe...?
Way back in 2016, The Lonely Island fueled mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping became a true commercial flop. Even so, the musical comedy received fairly strong reviews and became near and dear to at least one Fanbyte editor. Niki, merritt, and Danielle work together to parse what worked and what didn't in this Andy Samberg vehicle.
Danielle, Niki, and Steven try to fill the void left by an empty fourth chair this week with lots of winter talk! There's still not much new in games out, so the gang chooses to go over what we play during the winter months instead. There's also a good deal of "food" discussion. By which we mean Lunchables and things that are kinda Lunchables become a major point of contention.
Who's the pope now? That's the question on everyone's minds in The New Pope! Welcome to Papal Bull: Resurrection, a podcast mini-series companion to The New Pope. Join co-hosts merritt k and Eric Thurm as they recap each new episode of the HBO sequel series to the... honestly completely deranged series The Young Pope. It features an out of this world John Malkovich in incredible eyeliner. Get ready for one wild papal bull ride! And be sure to listen to the original Papal Bull to catch up.
