On today's episode of the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms, I chat about teaching entrepreneurship in homeschool. I think it's such an important topic to cover as the world of work changes and evolves. What better way to prepare our kids than teaching them how to make money?
Apart from learning about business basics, kids can also learn other valuable life skills, that can set them up for the future. And by teaching them young, we also give them the chance to master business and to make mistakes without it being traumatic.
We use Boss Club as our entrepreneurship homeschool curriculum. If you're interested in a comprehensive, self-paced programme that uses a lot of real-world examples, then Boss Club could be a great option for you.
You can sign up to Boss Club by using my affiliate link, and be sure to use my discount code at checkout. CHARLOTTEJONES247

On today's episode of the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms, I speak to Kelly George. She's a homeschooling mum of five always-homeschooled children and is married to her best friend. She's also a nurse, hiker, runner, and serial crafter - because homeschooling lets the whole family do all the fun things.
She started Fearless Homeschool and the yearly Australian Homeschooling Summit way back in 2016 to help parents get past their fear of being 100% responsible for their child’s education, and straight to the really fun and effective bits.
This is a fantastic episode because Kelly is so unashamedly on her own path. I'm so inspired by her confidence, her practical approach to working homeschool mom life and her no-nonsense attitude. If you're feeling like you're 'failing', then this episode will definitely make you feel better!
Kelly has some amazing free and paid resources to help you along your homeschooling path...

Inez is a homeschool mom to an energetic six-year-old boy. It had always been a dream for her to homeschool, but as a single mom, many would have thought that the dream would have been crushed. But, as the saying goes… where there's a will there's a way! Inez started playing school with her son in his preschool years and almost 4 years later, they’re still going strong!
One of Inez’ greatest passions is empowering people to pursue their dreams, so she's combining that passion with her love for homeschooling. It's her mission to help any mom feel supported and empowered to homeschool.
You can find Inez on Instagram at @inezbayardo.

Today I had such a fun what with Dachelle McVey. She's a working homeschooling mom of 3 in the South. She is the owner of HideTheChocolate.com, a blog about her adventures in homeschooling and parenting. She is also the author of dozens of online book clubs for kids from preschool to high school at her site Literary Adventures for Kids. You can often find her reading a good book (or even sometimes just an okay book) and enjoying a jar of Nutella — don’t judge. ;)
Dachelle is very honest and open about the joys, struggles and logistics of being a working homeschool mom. She believes that it's not possible to strike a balance, but rather to juggle everything we have to do. She also infused everything with fun and energy, so this chat is a blast to listen too! I'm sure you're going to love it as much as I do!

In today's episode of the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms, I talk about a topic I adore...and that's a growth mindset. As working homeschool moms, we are so easily overwhelmed by all the tasks we have to do. So by taking the ways to nurture a growth mindset that Positive Psychology suggests, I apply it to working homeschool mom life.
I look specifically at how a growth mindset can help you with:
- a reluctant learner
- running your own business
- keeping your house clean
- and healthy habits.
If mindset is also a topic you enjoy, then you should check out my mindset challenge. It's a great way to shift your mindset when you're feeling stuck or in a rut. I also have a time audit printable that goes very nicely with the challenge. As does my Ultimate Working Homeschool Mom PDF planner.
I would love you to join my working homeschool mom community! You can do this by signing up to my newsletters, joining my private group on Facebook or following me on Instagram.
And if you ever need some extra support or someone to talk to about being a working homeschool mom, then please book in a coaching session with me. I would love to help you in any way that I can!

The go-to podcast for Christian homeschool moms who want to achieve work-life balance and homeschool effectively.
Are you trying to balance your calling to…
Do you feel like no matter how early you wake up, there’s never enough time for school, work, and the house?
Are you praying for peace and wisdom as you raise kids who love learning and love Jesus?
This podcast will help you organize your homeschool, manage your time wisely, and balance work, home, and faith — without waking up at 5 a.m. or color-coded schedules.
Hi, I’m Elisa — and this is my 6th year homeschooling. Back in 2019, my world flipped upside down when my son was kicked out of school after the vaccine religious exemption repeal in New York. I thought homeschooling would be temporary, but as a single mom running a business, I was terrified I couldn’t keep up. How was I supposed to teach him everything his growing brain needed while also putting food on the table?
In fact, I doubted myself so much that I packed up our lives and moved 650 miles away just so he could attend public school again. But God had other plans. When we returned to homeschooling — this time with no family nearby and no built-in support system — I wrestled daily with the same fears you probably do...
Can I balance work and homeschooling?
Am I doing enough?
Will my kids fall behind?
What I discovered is that homeschooling is not school at home. Once I let go of unrealistic expectations, leaned on God’s strength instead of my own, and started building systems and routines, things shifted. We had more freedom - now my son and I do life together, and he’s learned to think critically, explore his interests, and grow in his faith. And I finally found the margin to run my business and disciple my child without constant burnout.
Now, I help other Christian work-at-home moms do the same — by trusting God with the outcome, simplifying homeschool, and creating time management strategies that bring peace to your days and keep your focus on what truly matters.
If you’re ready to simplify your homeschool, manage your time with confidence, and create a faith-filled home that actually feels peaceful, then grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and let’s get started.
