This week, our daughters have been sick. As a result, they are quite clingy, up throughout the night, wanting mummy and daddy ALWAYS.   

How my husband Michael and I responded to that this week wasn't our best effort, but we learnt, adapted, changed our behaviour and improved.

Back in 2016, I ran a program on Facebook named Meaningful May. And it gave so much happiness to me, I loved doing it. I loved to champion the people in that group, to hear their successes and the action that so many of them took to create momentum in their life and to really move forward with the goals they were working on.  

I loved it so much, I planned to launch Charge Connect Grow, my Personal Development and Leadership business, straight away.  

But then on the 1st of June of 2016, life for me was completely flipped on its head.

The question that I get asked regularly is, ‘How do you continue to have such a belief in creating an ultimate life, living an ultimate life and taking action to live out this purpose that you’ve created for yourself?’  

What I shared with them, and what I’d love to share with you, is that I didn’t always have this belief in myself. I didn’t always have this belief in my ability to figure things out.  

And it wasn’t until I started learning strategies and techniques of amazing people like Oprah Winfrey and Tony Robbins and people who are role models to me, like the friend who I'm about to talk about, that I started changing my thinking, and my actions.

Today I wanted to share a book I'm reading called Tribes by Seth Godin.

Tribes are so important in today's society, belonging to a tribe can influence and shape your personal and working life. 

In particular, this book is great for leaders and managers, whether you lead at work, as a parent, or amongst friends and family.
