Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer has formally called for the resignation of Finance Minister Bill Morneau, saying that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau should force him out if he refuses to leave of his own volition. Also, Tuesday there was a shouting match in the House of Commons. Mr. Scheer accused the Liberal government of not being tough enough on suspected ISIS terrorists returning to Canada, while the prime minister blamed the Conservatives for “trying to scare Canadians.”

A group of six injured veterans have suffered a major setback in their legal battle with the federal government. The group alleges that they have been unfairly treated and short-changed, because of a major overhaul in 2006 to the way the government compensates those injured in the line of service. But the B.C. Court of Appeal today struck down the veterans' claim in its entirety.
