December 02, 2017Charles Adler Tonight - BC Supreme Court Decides To Stay First-degree Murder ChargesIn a bombshell decision, the BC Supreme Court has decided to stay first-degree murder charges against gangster Jamie Bacon, in connection to the Surrey Six massacre. The decision from Madam Justice Ker is from a sealed file -- but comes after closed door hearings and applications from Bacon's lawyer to have the charges tossed. The issue appears to the ability of Bacon to properly defend himself -- after his lawyer came into contact with privileged and confidential information. In a statement, the Prosecution Service says it's connected to solicitor client privilege, litigation privilege, informer privilege and public interest privilege. While the charges against Bacon have been dropped, two other gangsters -- Cody Haevischer and Matthew Johnston -- were convicted of six counts of first degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
