Today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized to gay and lesbian Canadians who have been systematically purged from the public service.Sad news for the Edmonton broadcasting world. Chuck Chandler, known for his broadcasting work with our friends over at 630 CHED has died. Chandler worked at 630 CHED from 1973 to 1979. For part of those years, he hosted the TV show Disco Daze at CITV from 1975 to 1978. Chandler also spent a few years in the early 1980s as the announcer on the TV show Let’s Make A Deal. And a happy conclusion to a story we’ve been following for at least a week here in BC. Dog walker Annette Poitras who was lost for two days in the Metro Vancouver mountains is finally going home.
