Words that the wife of late U.S. Sgt. La David Johnson should have heard from President Trump, and an emotional speech from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

 Earlier this week, we played you a video of two men who had been pulled over for speeding in a Metro Vancouver suburb, verbally abusing the two officers who were giving them the ticket. Now another video has gone viral, posted on Tuesday it is making the rounds on social media.

Lloyd Smith, the Director of Leisure Services at the City of Fernie, has been identified as one of the three people who died following Tuesday’s ammonia leak at the Fernie Memorial Arena. In a statement, Smith was described as an “accomplished pilot, paramedic, as well as a beloved father and a brother.”  

We also play some audio from White House chief of staff John Kelly who, in an emotional speech today, detailed the homecoming and burial process for every slain US soldier. Kelly himself lost his son Robert Kelly in the line of duty back in 2010.

After bringing you the story yesterday about a man suing Sunwing air for pouring him sparkling wine on a “champagne service” flight...we have yet another airline kerfuffle to bring you today.  American Airlines is defending one of its agents, after Canadian passenger and curler Erin McInrue Savage, has accused the airline worker of discrediting the holy sport of curling, and attempting to charge her more for her checked baggage.

Several hundred protesters chanting “Go home Nazis” protested at the University of Florida today to denounce a speech by white nationalist Richard Spencer.
