A report released by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation has found our federal government is not prepared at all to deal with our nation’s aging population.

So what happens to marijuana supply once it does become legalized, and an influx of Canadians rush to test it out? Canada’s licenced producers say they can’t come close to meeting this new, expected demand, and for the first year and a half or so or legalization...there won’t be enough pot to pass around.

Ever thought of going drunk canoeing? It’s obviously not recommended - but at least now, you won’t lose your driver's license for doing it. The federal government has reversed a “grey area in the Criminal Code” that allowed police to hand out drunk driving charges, to people who decided to have a few beers, and hop in a canoe. That means police can no longer suspend your driver's license, and impound your car for being tipsy in a canoe.  

This is a case of an actor being maybe a little TOO good at their job. Indiana State Police are investigating after a police officer shot at a movie actor, portraying a bank robber. Local police in the city of Crawfordsville responded to a possible robbery at a brewery on Tuesday evening, and encountered a man outside the brewery in a ski mask carrying what looked like a gun. They told the man to drop the gun, and when he turned around an officer fired a shot...which missed him.

You may have heard a lot of chatter surrounding Bombardier this week - and here’s why. The United States Commerce levied a 219% duty on the sale of its CS100 commercial jets, siding with Boeing, as critics of the Canadian company argued they have an unfair advantage, benefiting from improper government subsidies. Also, Charles and Matt talk about the Status of Women Committee and what they'd do if they were on Andrew Sheer's team.

Since winning the Federal election back in 2015, Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have spent around $13.7 MILLION on social media advertising. The money was spent on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter ads between November 4 2015 and May 10 2017. In contrast, Stephen Harper’s government spent around $750 million between 2006-2014 on advertising.

While Justin Trudeau says he is listening to Canadians and agrees with some of the feedback the government has received, the opposition is calling on the Federal Government to re-think the proposals entirely. Meanwhile many are calling on the government to leave the rich alone, saying they are already taxed enough.
