In this episode of the Big Picture Skiing Podcast Tom and Sam catch up with Charlie Raposo after his best season on the World Cup yet. Charlie is now the first Great Britain Ski racer to score WC points in GS since 1968! He talks about what components lead to him getting to this point in quite detail including some knowledge about knowing what equipment worked best in what conditions. Very interesting stuff.

Charlie also has been signed to the new Ski racing Brand Van Deer Red Bull. This is Marcel Hirscher’s personal brand and he is on a mission to make it the best team on the circuit. Charlie talks with us about how exciting this opportunity is and his experience testing the new skis.

Finally we end with a discussion on UK sports decision to pull funding from the GB ski team. This is a hot topic at the moment particularly when the team is probably the strongest it has ever been.
