Master of bone-chilling suspense novels, Jeff Crawford, may reside in North Carolina yet his novels Pheramane and Through Black Velvet Eyes are set in Ocala where he lived for ten years attending Vanguard High School and participating in both the Southeastern Youth Fair and 4H activities.

 

Through Black Velvet Eyes is a suspense novel set in modern day Ocala with a plot that mingles the equine world, a man leading a double life, and a slice of paranormal. Pheramane is an eccentric blend of suspense, spiritual and the paranormal set in the mean and murky Florida swamplands of the late 1800s.
