Chana sings a shira to Hashem praising Him for the miracle and davening for Shmuel’s success.

Chafni and Pinchas, sons of Eili, are in charge of the avodah but corrupt the service by taking abnormally large portions of the korbanos and taking them before Hashem’s portion, even at the disapproval of the nation.

They are also disrespectful to the women who would bring korbanos.

This is all while Shmuel is growing in the ways of Hashem.

Eili tries to give his sons musar but is unsuccessful so Hashem sends a navi to Eili telling him that his family will be cursed with many curses, among them that everyone from his household would suffer from poverty and die young, and the sign of the onset of this curse would be that Chafni and Pinchas would die on the same day.
