And how about the racist Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences? Man are they racist. Forget the fact that Will Smith stunk to high-Heaven in whatever that forgetful movie was last year. They should have nominated him just so it "looked" more "diverse". Well, the boys get into a discussion that really begs the question: are we a meritocracy or are we a bullshit society that care more about the color of the skin than the content of the character? That's for smarter people to decide. But we are asking it.

The shock collars have arrived with all thanks going to Matt for having the great idea to create a wishlist and then come up with a way to, not only, entertain the fans, but, also, discover who the most sadistic fan is. That fan is none other than Superfan Mark. Thanks, Mark for buying the collars for us. And as an added bonus, these collars helped us discover that the real masochist on the show is Jimmy the Italian. There's no rule saying you have to put the shock collar on your balls, James. Oh and, by the way, if you use those things on your dog, you're an asshole. They hurt like a mother

We also discuss the hurt we feel that our interview with Kevin MacLeod looks more like an afterthought on his website (www.incompetech.com) than anything he is proud to have done. The sad part is, our interview with him was 20 times more entertaining. But we still love Kevin MacLeod and can't wait to have him on again. 

This episode was recorded in the hours leading up the whopper of a blizzard known, stupidly, as "Winter Storm Jonas". While many are left wondering exactly which Jonas Brother this storm most behaves like, we at Checked Out were left wondering why our dear Governor Christie abandoned us to campaign in New Hampshire. Luckily he had left his no-bullshit Stomach behind to run things. We interview Governor Christie's Belly one more time to get to the bottom of how he will protect us from the storm. (Please note that we were well aware that this would be outdated by the time it would be uploaded. So shut up about that. You want us to be more timely? We need to be live. Wanna be our benefactor? We finally got him! After months and months of wishin', hopin' and prayin' that we'd be able to get an interview with the world-famous Kevin MacLeod, the Podcasting gods have smiled upon us...for once. 

We don't waste any time getting into this interview with our first celebrity. We're not joking when we call him a celebrity. Ok, technically you wouldn't recognize him in a restaurant. You probably never heard his name unless you pay attention when you listen to us or work in production. But you know his music if you've seen the movie "Hugo" or just about most Youtube videos. He has over 1800 credits on IMDB and, most famously, composes and produces all of the music on our show...unless otherwise noted, that is.

We're back and fresh as daisies for Season 4 of Checked Out. We've got big plans for this year on the show which might include some changes, but we need your help to do some of it! Listen to find out why. 

One of those changes requires us to curb our language a bit and structure the show better. Why? Well, we've targeted NJ101.5 and WDHA in New Jersey. Not in a bad way. Rather, we've set our sights on getting ourselves on one of their airwaves. Even if it's at 3am. We're just too good at this to not get paid. Plus we love it and miss taking callers. So how will we curb our language? With self-discipline. And when that doesn't work, Mario the Millennial will shock the cursing cast member with a shock collar. BUT there's a caveat. And speaking of the Great Trippy James Trev, we finally got our hands on a copy of the held-hostage, long-lost final episode of Checked Out on Inside Radio. That's right, we did. And we listen to it and comment on it during this and the next episode. 

For you hardcore fans, we have a special in-studio guest who serves a two-fold purpose. 1) he's part of our Checked Outreach Program, a.k.a.
