Checkpoint Church is the place where all people from all walks of life are always welcomed with loving arms. We strive to steer clear from the modern temptations of being too ‘churchy’ or judgmental. We are the safe space for those who haven’t felt welcomed by the church before.

If you’re plugged into our community on Twitch or Discord, you know my thoughts on Hawkeye are less than great. So I’m going to take all of my hot takes and put them away. If you want to know how I really feel - keep watching till the very end.

But for this video we are going to look at the story being told in the latest Disney+ Avengers series Hawkeye, where we explore the relationship between Barton and Bishop for the first time in this universe. Clint has to tackle a pretty gnarly past in this series - can we learn anything from how he’s coping? How can we as Christians use the themes present in this show to better our own repressed trauma? Let’s talk about it.

It’s not mystery than I’m not the biggest fan of League of Legends and given articles like this - I’m not alone in that sentiment. But the virality of Riot Games first serialized television series Arcane does ask some important questions - why are we so drawn to this show?

Probably the thing that draws most people to League in the first place - the characters. And the characters in this show pretty much unilaterally have the exact same issue in common. Why do we do evil things for the people that we love? And does Jesus have a better way? Let’s talk about it.
