Sisters Addelyn and Claire have gone through a combined seven surgeries at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
Addelyn was seen by doctors at the Stollery for low muscle tone and concerns with her development when she was seven months old. Her parents had to teach her muscles to do everything, but she now walks unassisted.
Claire was born five weeks early and had two holes in her heart and spent 33 days in the NICU. After 10 months, she wasn't developing or growing and had low energy. At 10 months, she had heart surgery.

She moved here from Newfoundland 12 years ago specifically to work at the Stollery. Since she's been here, she's been given a number of opportunities, including travelling to Ecuador to perform heart surgery on kids.
