A few ways to describe 2020:
In the second last Cheesy Dreams and Wine Sweats chat for the year, the gals reminisce on New Years Eve 2019, what their hopes and dreams were for 2020... and then chat about what actually happened in 2020. From being stranded in Delhi during a global pandemic to spending way too much time inside a small apartment with one other person and a cat, Claire and Em share their favourite moments of 2020, moments where resilience was built, how they're NOT going to put 2021 on a pedestal, and share, amiga to amiga/o, the weird and wonderful things they did during isolation!
This podcast has been a big and beautiful ride for the gals and it wouldn't have been what it was without all of the very wonderful people who listen to the podcast. The words of encouragement, moments of laughing with the gals and at the gals, and the stories shared by listeners after a particular moment resonated with them - such as the one where a listener also had haemorrhoids and shared their haemmy cream with their significant other*.
From Soleen and Beathy: We love and appreciate you all and can't wait to share more Cheesy Dreams and Wine Sweats with you all for our Chrissy ep next week and another season of goodies next year! xx

The gals may have well and truly lost it because of night shifts and general fatigue this week but they rolled with it, even after making Sudocrem beards.
It’s safe to say 2020 has been one very long yin yoga class for all of us.
Earlier this year Claire returned home to Australia from her adventures of surfing, being the only one paddling in a tandem kayak and teaching yoga in India due to the pandemic kicking off, and Emily‘s plans for travelling to Ireland and living out her Lizzy McGuire Movie fantasies in Italy were exchanged for living through Australia's longest lockdown in Melbourne.
For a while the gals hissed “too soon” at anyone who even thought about uttering the word travel and Claire’s Sméagol voice came out whenever she held her passport in her hands. However! The time has finally come and they’re now emotionally prepared to talk about travel again so they decided to reminisce on some of the moments during their travels that shaped them into the women they are today (or maybe they just make for a good story!).
Just like a yin class, sitting through discomfort and stillness might have been really good for us after all and has made us appreciate and look forward to the days when we can travel and make memories again. Until then, join the gals this week as they chat about cringey and hilarious travel stories of haemorrhoids, sunburns, monkey dick pics and chasing bears off!

This weeks conversation is all about changes because the gals are going through a lot of them at the moment!

What do you get when you mix a Friday night in, a few gins and a podcast conversation all about your idols? You get two very giggly Normal People (Paul Mescal) and I'm Grand Mam fans being completely inappropriate.
This weeks chat is all about why they say "never meet your idols" (P.S. Who's 'they'?); The let downs and disappointments, and why in some cases that responsibility actually falls on the individual doing the idolising. On a positive note, however, the gals chat about moments they met some of their idols and were completely blown away by their humility and generosity (Esbe, cheers to ya, you absolute legend!), and people they still hope to meet in this wild world we live in.
Just an FYI: The gals also finally experienced their first technical difficulty as Emily's mic decided to shit itself for the duration of this recording but they didn't realise until AFTER talking for approximately 4 hours. So! Apologies for the sound quality of Em's mic this week, we decided to go ahead with releasing this weeks conversation but if you decide to pass on this one for this reason that's totally fine and you should have a listen to some previous conversations instead (The Dummy Spit was one of our personal faves)!
Thanks for stickin' with us, tech issues and all! We bloody love ya!

Well, Tina Turner, the gals may have had a revelation that it's gotta do with a lot, actually! During this weeks catch up, Claire and Em have a heart to heart about Love Languages! What is a love language? Can it be detrimental to not nurture your own and other peoples love language? Why are there so many questions here and not enough Tina Turner references? The gals chat about what the heck love languages are, share their results from the 5 Love Languages quiz by Dr. Gary Chapman, and discuss moments when this information has been or could have been handy, and how they may have learned to love their favourite people a little better.
This conversation is all about the moments when the gals may have spat the dummy, chucked a tantrum, flipped their lid or just out right lost their shit! Learning how to be less reactive is a process for everyone, but learning to laugh at yourself is definitely part of it too! There have been moments where most of us have perhaps (not so proudly) spat the dummy in a kayak, while summiting a mountain or trying snow sports for the first time, but maybe after having and hearing this conversation, we’ll have a laugh at the ridiculousness of it all, learn something from each other and at the end of the day, still love ourselves and each other all the same.

The week the gals chat all about what it was like growing up in small country towns; the good (wide, open spaces), the bad (the small town stare) and the ugly (their sound barrier breaking John Denver sing-a-long). As always, stay tuned for the top ten things they love about being from small country towns and to get a giggle from some conversation outtakes.

After a big week of doin' life, the gals chat about moments of taking on more than you should, the why’s behind that, and some ways to handle it!
When you bite off more than you can chew? Chew like crazy!
As usual, be sure to stick around for some outtakes which include their passion for bread and lists, quotes from the internal monologue which follows being rejected after offering to help others, and an accidental recording of a moment Em had while reminiscing the simpler times and the best hits of the 90's.
