Chelsea have made their first signing of the summer in Italian full back Marco Palestra. Xabi Alonso helped hijack the move from Inter Milan, convincing the player to join his new project.

Chelsea end off a terrible season with a terrible result away at Sunderland, losing 2-1, with yet another red card.
