Chew Bubblegum and Kick Ass

This episode we're talking about Tucker's pick for our Edging series, Over The Edge. A movie about a bunch of kids right on the edge of destroying their town. We also give our definitive rankings of the Rocky series.

This week, we're taking it to the edge with the new series, Edging, which is just movies that some sort of variation of edge in the title. Hopefully, having this as the title will bring out all the sick freaks searching for Edging videos to listen to our podcast about movies, but I guess we'll see. Shout out freaks.

This week we're declaring a winner in our Slaaammm Dunk! series. Will it be Stone Cold, Street Dreams, or Blue Chips? I think we all know the answer to that question, but go ahead and listen anyway!

We're back to talk about Dylan's pick for Slam Dunks, Blue Chips, starring Nick Nolte and Shaq. This movie kicked off Shaq's short lived acting career before going on to star in Kazaam, Steel, and probably something else too. Does it hold up to The Boz's performance in Stone Cold, and PRod's performance in Street Dreams? Probably!

We're back to talk about the second movie in our Slam Dunk! series, Street Dreams. Starring pro skateboarder, Paul Rodriguez, as a young aspiring skateboarder. There was a time when pro skateboarders were getting shows on MTV, and this is basically what would happen if you let those guys make a movie, and it's almost like none of them know what makes skateboarding cool, but hey, at least we get to see The NAC.

This week we're talking about the first slam dunk, Stone Cold, with Brian "The Boz" Bosworth. The Boz's football career was cut short due to injury, so he decided it was time to be an action hero. The athlete to action hero transition doesn't always work, and it didn't really work for The Boz either, but we did get Stone Cold out of it, so maybe it's all worth it.

We're kicking off a new series this week with Slam Dunk! A series about sports stars turned actors, which some very strict criteria about what we consider sport starts and actors. We got some weird ones lined up, so listen and find out what they are!

It's finally time to declare a winner for the best movie about making movies. Who will talk away with the Would That It T'were So Simple title, and which two movies will be cast aside into the pits of movie hell for all eternity? Will it be The Player, Scream 3, or Get Shorty? Listen and find out!

This week, we're talking about Brett's pick for Would That It T'were So Simple, Scream 3. The Scream franchise has always been about movies, but Scream 3 really brought the point home by setting the plot around the making of the third movie in the in-universe franchise based on the in-universe killings. But is it better than The Player and Get Shorty? Probably not, but it's still a good time.
