Dr Tim gets asked all the time "How many vials of hyaluronidase do I actually need for my emergency kit, to reverse a vascular occlusion safely?" so we've dedicated this Aesthetics Mastery Show to answering that question once and for all.
We dig into the science behind hyaluronidase reversals; why different clinicians have competing views on the number of vials you need; how many it took Tim to reverse his own lip occlusion; how to know when you've used enough; and how you can access emergency stock in UK (except Scotland) if you're not a doctor or dentist.
If you haven't already, you MUST download Tim's emergency filler reversal protocol here: https://drtimpearce.com/resources/fre...

In this week's episode, Dr Tim goes deep on dermal filler injection techniques - one of the most asked about aspects of aesthetics.
We all want to minimise filler complications and create beautiful results with our needle, right? But sometimes this magic touch seems to evades us, and we walk away from treatments frustrated and lacking confidence.
In this episode Dr Tim perfectly lays out the injection-technique principles you need to know in order to excel with the syringe. He tackles: the perfect angles, depths, and position needed to minimise risk and maximise the aesthetic outcome, as well as the secret behind his smooth aspirating method, and how to stabilise your body to deliver confident injections every time.

In this week's episode of The Aesthetics Mastery Show, we tackle the thorny topic of body dysmorphia. With the industry being rocked this week when 22 year old Andrea Emilova Ivanova from Bulgaria, apparently quadrupled the size of her lips using 25ml of filler, we ask:
⏹ Does this lady have body dysmorphia?
⏹ Should you get involved with giving fashionably (or otherwise) big lips
⏹ Should you impose your beauty values on your patients?
⏹ Was the practitioner who treated Andrea a bad person?
⏹ Ethically, are medical professionals any different to tattoo artists?
⏹ How to reject a patient wanting big lips
⏹ And how to spot dysmorphia in your patients
Dr Tim has prepared a special one page dysmorphia checklist to accompany this episode. You can grab it free here: https://drtimpearce.com/body-dysmorphia-vs-modification-checklist/

We explored a super interesting question in this week’s episode of The Aesthetics Mastery Show: do great injectors have to be good at art? This came about because Dr Tim has been getting into sculpting during lockdown, and was surprised to find a great number of benefits for his aesthetic skills. We dug into:
•Why you are not superficial for trying to make yourself and your patients more beautiful
•Why being a bad injector is actually a good thing…on one condition!
•The unexpectedly close relationship between art and anatomy
•Dr Tim explains why focal points are central to your aesthetic success

We also tackle the topic on everyone’s lips at the moment - how is Borris? The UK’s Prime Minister, Borris Johnson, was admitted to intensive care on Tuesday night, and we all wish him a speedy recovery. The questions still remain, though: were we lied to about his condition; was he following social distancing guidelines strictly enough, and is he a bad patient? We go in!

In this week's Aesthetics Mastery Show, we tackle the most controversial topic for healthcare practitioners at the moment - PPE (personal protective equipment). Are we being asked to go into battle without any armour?
We discuss: whether or not the level of PPE supplied to NHS workers is adequate; which masks are needed under which circumstances; and what the difference is between the virus being airborne, and 'droplet spread'.
Also in this week's episode, we address the severe anxiety many clinicians feel about being exposed to the virus and the possible implications for their family. Dr Tim shares his own past struggle with anxiety and gives practical insights into how you can stop the anxiety tape in your head from playing on repeat.

In this episode of the Aesthetics Mastery show, Tim shared some surprisingly positive perspectives about the outlook for your aesthetics business after the Covid-19 crisis....particularly for those of us who take certain actions now.
We also dived into the needle vs cannula debate. Dr Tim shared his personal preference for cannula or needle when injecting the lips and cheeks, and revealed the surprising truth behind why occlusions caused by cannulas can have much worse consequences for patients than those caused by a needle. Thankfully Dr Tim gave his injection technique tips for how to avoid this worst case scenario happening to your patients.
We hope the show brings you some positivity during this worrying time.
