Mike Hayes brought in his band 3 In Counting in January and blew us away. These guys are the real deal. What a great joy to have them in to record this excellent Podcast.

With lyrics that weave stories and muse over feelings many seem to take for granted, Brett Randell is a musician on a mission to connect the world. The 23-year-old New Yorker, currently living in Austin, TX, croons with a clear and powerful voice which is bringing emotion and energy to the singer/songwriter genre. His soulful, poetry-based style places emphasis on intense lyrics, catchy melodies, and emotional stories.

This is the Real Deal! VooDoo Pilot is what Chicago Music is all about. These guys are in it for the long run. Dan Myers and Levi Britton met in Traverse City, MI before Dan was old enough to consume alcohol, and Levi had just graduated from high school. As fate would have it, they were both hired to be in the Golden Garter Review, a group created by a wonderful tourist attraction called Dill's Olde Town Saloon that would recruit musically talented college students from colleges in the Midwest to come play for hungry crowds.

15 year old Kate Diaz won 1st place in the 2011 Berklee/Sonicbids singer-songwriter contest, received a 2011-2012 ASCAPlus songwriting award, and was also selected on SonicBids to play at 2011 LOLLAPALOOZA's Kidzapalooza and to showcase at Milwaukee's 2011 Yellow Phone Music Conference. In September, this Chicagoland teen released her second live acoustic album of original songs, Electrified.

Jordan Casty joined us in the CAU Studio thanks to Leigh Evin McCullough and the Hidden Shamrock. Leigh called me and said that Jordan was going back to school for his senior year at the famous Berklee School. God, am I glad that she was so insistant.

Jen Saint Stjarna came into the studio one afternoon and transported us to a Pariesian Bistro on the Left Bank. Her songs and her performance reminded me my youth in Europe.Jen has been playing the local scene and has graced the stage at Kat Fitzgerald's Four Women Only series. I highly recommend seeing her live. She is a joy to see and listen to.
