Satori aka Lorin Drexler joined the Wizad and I for a spritiual evening of his beautiful lyrics and his fluid multi octave voice. First he made us tear up and then he changed into a rap/hiphop mode which got us dancing in our chairs. What an wonderful talent. See him live, you will love the show. This is yet another example of the brilliant singer/songwriters based in Chicago. This city continually amazes me. Itand#39;s 70 degrees today and summer is right around the corner, so come to Chicago and weand#39;ll party.

Ernie Hendrickson joined us for an afternoon of shear pleasure. This man is, without a doubt, scaling up from regional to national level. His performances are uniformly perfect.Ernie brought Matt Ulery on Upright Bass and Chicagoand#39;s amazing pedalsteel master Mr. Brian Wilkie. As you can tell it was, yet again, a magical afternoon.

James Lee Stanley came into the studio and mesmerized me with his flawless control of his voice and guitar. This is without a doubt, the best performance on CAU so far. Many many thanks to Donna Frost for introducing us. James Lee has recorded more albums/CDs than anyone I personally know. Check out his myspace page and make sure you go see him live. Crystal Bowersox joined Brian Walker (http://www.brianwalkerlive.com), Jeff Brown , Christine Knodle and myself for a memorable afternoon. Crystal got us all to shed a tear or two or three during her show.Crystal's voice, guitar, and lyrics are supurb. I have seen her live many times now and I swear that you will have a wonderful time at her concerts.

Dawen Wang joined Christine and I on a July afternoon last summer with percussionist Jonathan Beverly for an afternoon of shear joy! Dawen, from Boston to Hong Kong to Chicago, to Los Angeles the influnces abound. He and Jonathan had only been playing together for 3 months when this was recorded. How amazing!!! Once again, it is in your best interest to go see this man live. We were dancing throughout the show. Be sure to check out his myspace page for touring updates.

Ben Keeler came into the studio thanks to Christine Knodle both are graduates of Columbia and they both are fine examples of the quality of that schooland#39;s music department. Also with us was David Kav CAU alumni and dear friend.Ben blew us away with his skills and demonstrated his degree in musical composition. Anytime you see his name on a venue, go see this amazing musician.

Dan and Leland were in town from Los Angeles for several live gigs and came into the studio and recorded one absolutely amazing Podcast. These guys are brilliant. So brilliant that we are going to bring them back to Chicago this summer and pair them with the CAU band Goodbyehome for some live shows.No matter where you live, they are probably going to be there some time or another as they play at a National level. When you see them coming, go see them. You will be satisfied no doubt.

Allison Fishman joined me with CAU alumni Sam Saunders for an afternoon of acoustic un-plugged music. Normally Allison and for that matter, Sam would have electric guitars in hand but for this show it was all acoustic.Allison is such a great songwriter and I love her voice. She had so much fun playing with Sam and he with her. I am sure you will enjoy this show.

Karen Mal joined me with fellow musician Buddy Mondlock for an afternoon of beautiful music. Karen started her lifeand#39;s journey in New England and migrated to Fish Creek, Wisconsin and is now a resident of Austin, Texas. Buddy grew up in Park Forest, Illinois and has lived in Nashville for the past 20 years.I, of course, fell in love with Karen along with her voice, lyrics, and her mandolin/guitar. Buddyand#39;s music and lyrics are amazing. What a great show.

Tim May and his lovely wife Gretchen Priest-May joined me one afternoon for a wonderful show featuring Timand#39;s amazing flat pick technique wonderful lyrics and Gretchenand#39;s gorgous fiddle artistry. What a great treat to have these Nationally recognized artists on CAU. Check them out on Timand#39;s myspace page for all their latest bookings. I highly recommend this truly American sound.
