He was the 10th overall pick in the 1993 draft, beginning his career in Quebec, and eventually acquired in a trade by the Blackhawks in 1998. Jocelyn Thibault was known for his consistent play in net. The goaltender’s lone all-star appearance came while with the Hawks during the 2002-2003 season, while recording eight shutouts along the way. After a hip injury derailed his 2003 season, the Hawks sent Thibault to the Penguins before he called it a career in 2008.

Bob Murray played in 1,008 games for the Hawks, which ranks 8th in franchise history. Murray was a two-time Campbell Conference All-Star, in 1981 and 1983. He retired from playing in May of 1990 after a 15-year career. The Blackhawks then hired Murray as their director of player personnel in 1991, and he became the sixth general manager in Blackhawks’ history on July 3, 1997. He served as GM until 1999.

Kenny Wharram was part of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup winning team in 1961. Wharram set a career high with 39 goals in 1963-64. He’d go one to score 30 or more two more times in his career. While with the Hawks, he was on the team’s “Scooter Line”, with Stan Mikita and Ted Lindsay. Wharram’s career was cut short due to a heart-condition. He experienced chest pains during training camp in 1969 and the condition wouldn’t allow him to play again, forcing him to retire in 1970.

Together with longtime teammate Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook formed one of the most formidable defensive pairings in the NHL becoming, in 2018, the first defensive tandem to play together in 1,000 games.  Seabrook also had a knack for the dramatic.   He scored seven overtime goals in his career. Three were in the playoff, including his unforgettable game-winner in Game 7 of the 2013 Western Conference Semifinal against Detroit. He would score in overtime again 3 weeks later to beat Boston in Game 4 of the Final, in route to the Stanley Cup.
