Michael Church was in Kuala Lumpur for the official draw for the Third Round of Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Afterwards he spoke with China's coach, Branko Ivankovic, to get his reaction to being drawn in Group C alongside Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Indonesia, and also on the challenges facing the Chinese national team.
