Mind which is bound to objects is bound and which is detached from objects is liberated.  A seeker of liberation has to put efforts to free the mind from the attachment to objects.  Sadhanas are meant for this.  With such a mind one must enquire into the Self. Mind is of two types. Pure & Impure. Impure mind has fanciful imaginations and selfish desires. Pure mind is free from selfishness.  Mind itself is the cause of bondage and mind is the cause of liberation.
