We had the amazing opportunity to chat with one of the co-founders of Vive Cosmetics, Leslie Valdivia.
We talked about the importance of creating spaces/business/brands that represent us latinos in all spectrums, specially in the beauty industry. I don't know about you, but all I saw and hear growing up was that "beautiful" looked one way, like the telenovelas' actresses. This is a narrative that we grew up with making us doubt and question our own beauty.
To listen more about this topic, listen to our chat with Leslie!
Vive Cosmetics is a Latina-owned and operated beauty brand created to celebrate our love for all things beauty and cultura in one place. Vive Cosmetics' story has become less and less about lipsticks and more about celebrating the diversity and power of the Latina and Latinx community.

On Chisme#42, I had an awesome chat with Kevin Munoz, podcast host of Latinoamericaneo, The Latin American Educational Opportunities Podcast. We talked about his experience as a DACA recipient and how he has been able to navigate the financial and educational system as such.
We also discussed part of our upbringing and immigrant story and how it inspired us to create our podcasts.
Kevin Muñoz is a 25-year-old proud DACA recipient born in Guatemala. The numerous roadblocks and challenges he faced while navigating the financial system and business world in the U.S. as an immigrant inspired him to share these struggles and educate others through his podcast The Latin American Educational Opportunities Podcast a podcast in English and Spanish addressing finances, business, tech, and taboo subjects with the Latin American Community and those willing to listen. Kevin hopes to better educate a community unable to access financial advice and educational resources, both of which are common roadblocks in the Latin American community to purchasing and preserving assets as well as building wealth.

Hola, Hello!
We had an awesome chisme with Kerwin, Jeff and Kenneth, also known as the Donis Brothers, and we talked about how they started their multifamily investment journey as such a young age (20 & 22 years old respectively) and how they are planning to retire their mother. These brothers'story is such an inspiration because it show that not matter our age and upbringing, we can create and build a life that will bring us purpose and happiness.

They are managing partners of the Donis Investment Group, in which they purchase and operate apartments. I had so much fun chismeando with Cindy Luquin, certified sex educator and founder of @howlatthewomb. We talked about the stigmas about body and sex health education specially amongst Latinx families.
We also touched on the importance of educating ourselves about our own bodies. It sounds crazy because we think we know our bodies because school taught some cute reproductive class, but the reality is that our bodies are constantly changing so we need to get on our game to get to know it at every new chapter.
This will not only help us become more aware of our needs but also help with boundaries with partners.
Cindy Luquin (she/ella) is a Certified Sex Educator and Creator of Howl at the Womb. She dedicates her time to sexually empower folks through culturally responsive sex education courses, workshops and conferences.
You need to follow @howlatthewomb , Cindy is always putting some fun and educational stuff out there.
